Chapter 17

Reviving his parents was going to take both of us. I don't know if I can do it...
Blossom, sweetie, don't doubt yourself.
"Are you ready?" I look up at Blake.
"Am worried." He grabs my hand and smiles.
"Don't be, just ignore the screams and keep using your power until the screams stop. We need them to help us with this war... correct?" I nod and we lay Lucy down on the bed.
"Lucy, are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes, of course." She closes her eyes as we put our hands on her. I give Blake a look and we begin to use our powers. Screams of his parents pierce our ears. We pushed ourselves harder and harder until eventually we no longer heard screams. Silence. I looked at Blake with his gaping mouth and eyes. He started crying and I realized his parents were behind me. He looked just like him. They smile at me happily and hug me then goes over to Blake to hug him. I smile at the thought I did a good thing and reunited a family... I wonder what it's like to have parents. Or to even see them? Now that I think about it... why were we still here? Amber comes up behind me and slips us away from the family.
"Is it safe to go outside?" I nod my head and I grab her arm before she can turn to leave.
"We have a war coming, we don't need to risk our safety by going outside just because it's said to be safe. We still have an enemy, correct?" She nods her head. "We have to kill the enemy. We have a great war ahead of us but for now we need to rest and build up our people and weapons. We have a total of 550 weapons so far, right? We might need more just in case. They need to be hidden well so no one can steal them. Understood?"
"Yes ma'am. We also have one woman pregnant. She is predicted to have a baby very soon maybe in the next month or so. The air has affected the birth speed on women." She smiles at me.
"Amber? We need to spare the innocent ones in the war... but I won't be focused on recognizing them so I need a favor of you."
"Yes, My Queen?" I give her a don't call me that look then give a serious expression again.
"Tomorrow night... meet me in my house. I will be giving you an ability to recognize the innocent and bad people." She nods her head as we go our separate ways. Blake needs some alone time with his parents. It's not my place to get in the middle of that. I realize that there isn't a hospital so I walk my way over to a space big enough for one. I close my eyes and use the rest of my powers. Suddenly, I feel something sharp go through my shoulder. I had been stabbed by a knife. How could i not have noticed? I felt myself slowly fall asleep as pain swept over my body. D*mnit, I had gotten kidnapped.
