“He is under heavy sedation because he was messing around with his bandages and wires. He got a little out of hand as well so that’s why he has restraints on. I’ll be back in about forty minutes to get you.” Harry’s nurse said before she drew back the curtain and then left the room.

I sort of just stood there as I took in the once intimidating and rude man, now lifeless and still. I’m not going to lie, it was hard and weird.

He started to move, groaning as he did so and that alerted me to his presence and let me know for sure that he was still in there somewhere, when he cursed the restraints.

I let slip a little sigh and cry noise, alerting Harry that I was there. His droopy eyes lifted up and his face lit up when our eyes met. He tried to sit up a little but the restraints on his arms and legs let him move less than an inch. His eyes went back to mine and he shook his head.

“Hey, you wanna help me out of these?” his dry voice cheekily spoke causing my own face to lit up and a smile forced its way onto my mouth.

I quickly approached the side of his bed and hesitated looking in his eyes for approval before touching him. He simply smiled and I tried to remove the Velcro cuff from his right wrist. He then took off the cuff from his other arm and both legs. I thought to myself that if a nurse comes in Harry will get in trouble for taking them off, I couldn’t help but look towards the door.

“Don’t worry, I don’t care what the nurse says about me taking them off.” I turned back and looked at Harry for a second then looked down at my fee.

It was quiet for a little bit, as I heard Harry re fasten the cuffs to the bed. I tucked hair behind my ears and was just about to look up when Harry called my name.

“Lillian…”

I looked up at him and his eyes glanced up to my bandaged forehead, before looking back to my eyes.

“Are you alright?” he asked.

Just like that my emotions were triggered and tears flooded to my eyes. I opened my mouth to answer and only to have my lip quiver no words coming out.

But to Harry, I didn’t have to say no, he knew that something had happened because he knew more about that night than I did.

I don’t even now if it was Harry or I that initiated the warm embrace but it was nice. This silence as well was nice, it wasn’t heavy or awkward, it was comforting. He lifted me up onto the bed, so I was more comfortable and quieted my now loud sobs.

“shh…come on now…shh.” He soothed and I pushed myself out of his arms, wiping away my tears.

“I would imagine that you have talked to Emma since that night, what did she say?” Harry asked.

My nurse came to get me a few seconds after I had told Harry everything that had happened. I told him about my father, about my injury, his injury and that I was scared.

He tried his best to tell me that he wouldn’t let Jace hurt me, or anyone for that matter but I was still scared.

I was now sitting in my hospital bed, waiting for the doctor in charge of my case to come and take a look at the stitches on my forehead. The nurse told me that if they were healed well enough I would be able to go home.

“Or you can stay here with your friend until he is ready to leave.” She told me.

The doctor came in and removed the gauze from my head, and it hurt pretty bad. The dried blood had caused it to stick to the stitches and when he took it off it pulled on the stitches.
