'Have a great weekend everyone' my co-worker said as we left the building after a busy week at work.

'and you, Natalie' I replied.

I scrolled through facebook as I waited for zoe to lock up the building. As usual there was nothing exciting happening on there, one pregnancy announcement from a girl I went to school with ten years ago, one promotion and some people trying to sell some old kids toys.

'Are meeting at the pub tonight then?'

'yeah, definitely need a white wine after this week' Zoe replied

'alright, let's go get changed and meet you there at about 7?'

As the rain started to fall we quickly said good bye and I jumped in to my dark blue mini getting out of the car park as quickly as I could do that I didn't have to lock the gates and drove the 30 minute journey back to my house.

By the way, my name is Aimee, I still live with my parents, my little sister Rosie (2) and my not so little brother Jack (15). My mum had me when she was just 18 and then Jack when she was 24, and then 13 years later she unexpectedly falls pregnant with our youngest little sister Rosie.

As I walk inside I shout a quick hello to my mum and then I carry on up the stairs to my bedroom when some singing stops me in my tracks.

'twinkle twinkle little star...'

I pop into Rosie's room to give her a quick cuddle before getting changed.

'Hello Rose, how you doing?'

'Good, I go school day and I made you picture of me and you and smelly Jack' Rosie says casually.

'aw its absolutely beautiful Rosie, you carry on playing I'm going to go and get changed'

Once I'm back in my bedroom I opened my wardrobe feeling very uninspired. Now there's one thing you should know about me I'm not a girl who likes to dress up, I feel most comfortable in a pair of leggings, an oversized jumper and my trainers.

After 10 minutes of deliberation I decide on a black pair of jeans, a grey oversized knitted jumper and some brown Chelsea boots, Comfortable but not too comfortable that I look like I'm ready for bed. I give my hair a quick brush through and then add on a bit more foundation and mascara. Another thing you might notice is that I'm not really that into make up either, a bit of foundation, powder and mascara and I'm done. You'll be glad to know that I take a bit more time and effort on my hair.

Once I'm ready I run downstairs and shout bye to my mum and then leave, its only 15 minute walk to the pub from my house, which means I can also have a glass of wine. 15 minutes later I walk into the pub, gasping for breath, my main thoughts after that walk are that I must starting using the gym membership that I've been paying for, for months and have yet to step foot in the actual gym. I spot Lola, Charlie and Zoe sat on the other side of the pub near the pool table.

After a few more glasses of wine a man who looks a similar age to us wanders over and says
'Hey? Just wondering if any of you want to play pool because My friend has gotta leave and we are playing doubles'

We all politely decline the offer of a pool game apart from Charlie who takes him up on the offer, the man then introduces himself as Alfie.

After a few more wines...

'Alfieeeee, I fancy game of pool now, singles. Against you.'

'ok ok. Aims, be prepared to loose though darlin'

'Never'
