''Aimee Aimee Aimee we go swimming today'' my little sister Rosie sang as she ran into my room at..oh yes 5:30 Am.

What time did I get home from the pub I hear you ask? 2:00 Am. I have had a grand total of 3.5 hours sleep and now I'm awake again, great I'm really pleased about that.

''Shh Rosie Shh, come sleep in my bed for a little longer before swimming, it's not open yet'' I reply quietly.

''Hmm ok. Let me get baa first'' she muttered as she ran back to her room to get her favourite cuddly toy baa the sheep.

                                        *****

''Now it time for breakfast and swimming Aimee?'' Rosie said while continuously tapping me on my arm .

''Yes, come on then'' I slowly got my self out of bed, making sure to be very gentle with myself because any wrong move and I'll be seeing all that's wine again.

                                          ****

Too many glasses of wine.

Too many shots of tequila.

These are my only thoughts as the rooms starts spinning as we slowly make our way downstairs.

''Oh dear, bad head?'' My mum laughs as I walk down the stairs to the kitchen.

''You should know better than to go to the pub on a Friday night when you take Rosie swimming on a Saturday morning, you know how excited she gets''

Yes, this is a little thing that Rosie and I enjoy on a Saturday morning, swimming and then some lunch.

''Yes mother I know, my mistake. Now please can you be quite'' I mutter

''Fine, meet any hot boys last night?''

This would be a question that mum asks me on average 15 times a week hoping that one day I'll actually find someone who likes me but there's a pretty slim chance of that happening anytime soon.

But that's also the question that makes everything come flooding back to me.

The group of boys.

Alfie.

The game of pool.

The shots.

The swapping of mobile phone numbers when intoxicated.

Oh no, why does it always happen to me?

                                             *****

''Kick kick kick kick, good job keep kicking'' I praise Rosie for her swimming.

Mum is very keen on teaching her children to swim from a young age but she won't pay out for her to get swimming lessons so muggins here has started something I can get out of and start taking her swimming every Saturday morning and let me tell you, she doesn't forget but right now I'm up for anything to stop me thinking about last night even if I am in a swimming pool while feeling rather nauseous.

*****

After half an hour longer Rosie decided a that she's had enough of swimming and wants to go grab some lunch.

"Were we going for lunch then Rose?"

"MCDONALDS" she practically screams at me.

I'm about to say no and disagree with Rose explaining that McDonalds are not that healthy but quickly change my mind when I remember the headache I'm currently trying to get rid of.

''Come on then, just once. Don't tell mummy it's our little secret'' I whisper

We get out of the pool and go and take on the mission that is getting changed after swimming. Why I wore skinny jeans swimming I'll never know.

About half an hour later we are parking in McDonalds. Luckily enough the queue isn't too long and we are able to walk straight up to the ordering bay.

''Hi, can I grab a chicken nugget happy meal and fries please with orange juice and also a chicken legend meal with fries and a Fanta please''

''Did you forget to mention you had a child when we were talking last night?''

I can promise you I almost gave myself whiplash when I heard that sentence.

''Alfie?''

''That's me, what a way for you to find out I work in McDonalds ey?'' Alfie laughs.

''I didn't now you worked in McDonalds. Wait she's not my child. I'm confused'' I splutter.

''She's my sister we've been swimming.''

''If you feel anything like I do I definitely don't pity you right now'' he mutters.

''Tell me about it? I'm in desperate need of a tablet and some sleep" I laugh

''Well, the best I can give you is your food?"

''Hmmm....I suppose that'll do''

******

"Thank youuu" I giggle as Alfie gives me my 'hangover cure'

"You're welcome, that will be £.9.65 , I'll send you a text when I finish my shift, enjoy your Lunch" Alfie answers

"Ok, bye"

You know what, Maybe my drunken night out will gain me something other than a headache, maybe just maybe I'll get a new friend.
