Ava

When I got home I found my Auntie cooking one of my favourite food Patatas Bravas, with added spice. Who doesn't love a little bit of spice? Eh? My Auntie who is my dad's sister is Spanish so I guess I have tasted a lot of delicious Spanish dishes.

"Hola, querida, ¿cómo estuvo tu día?" My Auntie would sometimes teach me Spanish as she tought it was important for me to speak more than one language.

"Era muy buena tía" I gave her a little peck on the cheeks and started to dress the table.

Bueno bueno, ¿quién es tu nuevo amigo?

Oh mi amigo, su nombre es Claire- Claire Rodriquez. I was glad to say that I had a friend now.

"Rodriquez?"

My Auntie asked, it seemed like she may have known the Rodriquez family .

"Yeah do you do them from somewhere?"

My auntie looked at me I mean really looked at me before she sat down again. "No Ava, it must be my memory playing tricks on me I don't think I know any Rodriquez"

I could tell they was something my Auntie wasn't telling me and it was her story, I just hope that if it is going to affect mine and Claire's relationship she would tell me.

It's amazing how life goes so fast, I remember the times when I was in school. I guess I had a good life but one thing I regret is how I treated others. I'm so happy that god gave me a chance to have a daughter even though she's not mine biologically but I still love her nevertheless like a daughter. When Ava told me she was friends with a Rodriquez, I was shocked and I knew she could tell that but didn't want to press on. I had been friends with Claire's mum if it's the same person were talking about and it didn't end well. I just hope that she didn't tell her daughter anything cause I would never forgive myself if I something happen to Ava.

Claire

My mum liked to know who I was friends with and for once I was very glad to know that she would approve of Ava. She was the nicest human being I'd ever met so far, and even though she wasn't an opened book like me I knew she hadn't done anything terrible.

"So darling how was your day?"

"Oh it was great mum thanks." The door opened and my brother came in.

"Hey mum did Claire tell you about her new friend, she is fit." He kissed her on the cheeks and winked at me before going to the kitchen.

"Shut up, and you are not going to mess with her head like you mess with other girls."

 My brother well he was just like the rest on the outside but i knew that when he met the right girl he would treat her like a princess.

"I'm not going to mess with her sis,chill"

He waved me off and went to his room. My mum looked at me and opened her mouth to speak but I already knew what she was going to say.

"I know mum ,you like to know the kind of people I hang out with."
