Claire's POV
Me and the guys had an arrangement of when we'd visit Ava in hospital so that we'd have a one on one convo with her without all of us there. Today was my turn and I wasn't ready to see her.
Sanchez dropped me at the hospital,my nerves very high-
"Hey ,sis calm down she's not going to die!" He gently touched my shoulders and I felt a sudden weight being lift up. I sighed and smilled. Somethimes he wasn't so bad.
"If you keep acting like that I'm afraid you'll be the one the hospital bed on the verge of dying." My brother blabbed shooting me a smirk. Great! I say one good thing about him and he says that. I take my words right back even though I never said it out loud. I shut the doors on him before bringing my head to the hospital looming over me-protecting me from the sun.
I walked inside to the help desk where a lady in her middle 30's was there. "Oh Claire what are you doing here?" I closed my eyes then re-opened them again to find Noah's mum looking at me.
I sadly smiled.
She was amazing-since Noah and I started talking after Ava was in hospital she's been helping me along with Noah of course to get over my stress. "Hey Mrs Reyes I'm here to see Ava."
"Oh yeah-of course, follow me." She grinned and guided me towards a long corridor until we reached a pair of doors. "Here we are, I'll let you go now but a nurse will be back to let you know when your visit is over."
"Thank you Mrs Reyes"
"No problem I'm always here if you ever need me!" And with that I watched her walk away until she was just a little dot. I pushed the doors open and the smell of medicine and hospital indulged me in and the smell in and I could sense my face making ugly remarks-then I saw Ava.
I run up to her and just when I was about to hug her-a noise interrupted me. Beep Beep"Please for your safety and the patient do not run." Beep! The noise went away and for once I was more than emarrased.Were they watching my every move or something? In a way it was better that way-no one could harm any of the patients without getting caught.
I lowered my head and went to hug Ava before taking a seat next to her. "Ava if I could put in words how I feel right now I would but I can't but one thing I do know is that I want you to wake up; everyone else does. There's so much I want to talk to you aout:School,boys, Those Syco b*itches - I laughed
And so much more and before I leave here today I want you to hear something. I wrote you something, maybe a little cheesy for me but I know you will enjoy it so here goes nothing." I coughed and took my little note out of my pockets;
I never thought we would part I didn't think this day would come It feels like a nightmare And I can't stop hurting I see the spot where you lay And I feel empty inside I want to be by your side And I wish you would wake up soon!
A few minute pass by until a old nurse appeared behind the door" Hey I'm afraid it's running a little late now, visiting time is over." She frowned at me before walking out. What was her problem? I whispered to Ava. I hugged her once more before walking out of the hospital.
Wasn't that 'something' from Claire Sweet?!
