Taylor's POV

"Here's what's going to happen. When we get there, I'll go in and find Dad while you find a parking spot in the garage." I told my brother Tristen. Once we got to the hospital, we immediately traded spots as I ran inside the hospital while my brother Tristen ran to the driver's side and drove to the parking garage. When I rushed in, I immediately ran for the emergency room. It didn't take me too long before I spotted my Dad. "Dad, we're here! Tristen is parking the car right now. Where is my wife?!" I asked my Dad. "She's currently being observed right now. There are about 3 doctors in there right now, trying to see what is wrong with her." He replied. "I need to see her. I really, really need to see her!" I shouted as I tried to go into the emergency room, but I was stopped by my Dad. "Taylor, you can't go in there right now!" He said as he tried to stop me. "But she's my wife! I need to see her!!" I shouted louder. "I understand, Taylor. But, now is not the right time to see her. A doctor will eventually come out and tell us what is going on with her." He said. 5 minutes later, I hear the emergency room siren going off, and 5 doctors and 7 nurses immediately rush out with a stretcher and run to the emergency room. Right as I glanced over to see who was the person on the stretcher, it was.... my WIFE!!!!

"Dad, that's my wife on the stretcher!!" I screamed. "Well, follow them then!!" He replied as we ran towards them. "Doctor, I'm the patient's husband!! Please tell me what's going on with my wife!!" I shouted. "Her heart beat was steady for a good 5 minutes, until her heart stopped beating all of a sudden, and we were lucky enough to revive her quickly, and now we have to rush her to the operating room right now!!" One of the doctors said as they rolled my wife to the operating room. "Sir, please stay out here." One of the nurses said as they closed the door. As they closed the door, I couldn't stop myself from punching the wall. My Dad kept trying to pull me away, but the pain inside me couldn't go away. "Taylor, calm down! Jennifer is a trooper, and I know she can get over this." He replied. Right then, my brother Tristen came running over. "How's everything? Where's Jennifer?" Tristen asked. "They just brought her to the operating room. One of the doctors said that her heart was beating for a good 5 minutes, until it stopped beating, and luckily, they were able to revive her, but they had to bring her to the operating room immediately." Dad replied. "Whoever did this to my sister-in-law, is going to pay for this." Tristen said with anger.

------3 hours later------

It is now 5:45 pm, and I still haven't ate dinner yet. I have honestly lost the mood to eat anything because I want to know if my wife is safe and that she's doing ok. A few minutes have went by, and my Dad and brother Tristen came back with food from the cafeteria. "Taylor, you need to eat. You haven't had anything to eat since you got home." Dad said as he tried to hand me a burger. "I'm not in the mood to eat right now, Dad." I replied. "Tay, you have to eat. Do you think Jenn would be happy if she saw that you weren't eating? Think about Landon, your son. He needs you, Taylor. He needs his Daddy." Tristen said. After my brother said that to me, it hit me. I thought about my son. Landon is still too young for him to loose his Dad, so I want to be strong for him. I slowly stood up, and decided to take the burger from my Dad. "Don't worry, Taylor. Jenn is going to be ok. Trust me." Tristen said.

------2 hours later------

One of the doctors finally came out from the operating room to give us news on Jennifer. "Are you guys related to Mrs. Caniff?" The doctor asked. "Yes. I'm Kevin, her father-in-law, and this is my son Taylor, her husband, and my other son Tristen, her brother-in-law." Dad replied. "So, how is my wife doing?" I asked. "Well, there is some good news, and some bad news. The good news is, her condition is currently stable. The bad news is, there was a lot of oxygen that got removed from her brain from the impact of when the car hit her, so as of now, she's on an oxygen machine until she can breathe more properly." The doctor said. "So doctor, when will we be able to visit my daughter-in-law?" Dad asked. "Hopefully, within the next 30 minutes - 1 hour or so." The doctor replied. "You guys can wait in the waiting room and when she's in her room, we will call you guys in." He replied as he went back inside the operating room.

Cam is supposed to fly in tonight at 7:35 pm. Tristen is going to pick him up while my Dad is going to stay here with me.
