I'm Confused

Has anyone noticed that John smiles, like never.

John's POV

I'm confused. Here I was thinking that Sam and Six were a match made in heaven. Apparently I was wrong. I admit there was a time that all I could think about was Six, but that time is gone. I'm with Marina now, and I love her. Well, I thought I did, until Six kissed me. All the feelings I had for her came rushing back, but a part of me still stayed loyal to Marina, that's why I pushed Six off of me.

One thing I know, is that I have to tell Marina before she finds it out from someone else.

I slowly walk to her room, dreading her reaction.

I hope she doesn't break up with me. I don't think I would be able to handle that. I know I've dealt with stuff that probably seems way worse than a break up. But the way I've gotten close with Marina during this past month, is closer than I've ever been with anyone. Even Sarah.

I knock on her door softly praying she doesn't hear me.

She does.

" Hi, John," Marina says, pulling me in for a quick peck on the lips.

She senses something is wrong and looks at me skeptically.

" Is something wrong, John," Marina says, with her smile slowly turning into a frown.

" Uhmm, yeah," I murmur, " maybe you should sit down.

Marina walks back into her room and sits on the edge of her bed. I sit next to her and grabbed her hand. She smiles. I immediately feel guilty.

" Marina, I need you to promise that you'll hear me through," I say.

" Ok," she says nodding.

" Ok, here goes," I begin, " Six kissed me."

The room starts to drop in temperature.

Marina let's go of my hand and turn away from me.

" So what?" she says, tears running down her face, " are you leaving me for her."

" Marina, of course not, I-I love you," I tell her.

She looks shocked for a second. Then she leans into me and kisses my lips, soft and passionately.

" I love you too, John," Marina says smiling.
