Few months later...

Mika's POV

Vic : " sure ako tama ako "

Mika : " mas sure ako na ako ang tama "

Vic : " c'mon, love alam natin na 'mama' ang una niyang word "

Yup, we're currently having an argument about what we think Kaira's first word would be.

Mika : " mas palagi niya ako kasama kaya sure ako 'mommy' ang una niyang word "

Vic : " mas madaling sabihin ang 'mama' "

Mika : " parehong two-syllable word lang yun I'm sure kaya niya sabihin ang 'mommy' "

Vic : " we'll see "

Ugh minsan talaga napaka mapang-asar nito ni Vic but I have 100% faith in my daughter that her first word would be 'mommy'

This past few weeks she's been starting to mumble some not-so-complete words

Mika : " diba baby 'mommy' will be your first word? "

I ask my baby girl who I'm feeding baby food right now.

She smiled and nodded her head like she actually understood what I said but of course Vic had to ruin it

Vic : " hindi kaya diba you'll say 'mama' first? "

Vic asked our daughter and once again Kaira just nodded.

Ang gulo mo naman, nak akala ko ba 'mommy' muna

Vic : " pano ba yan, love oo daw eh "

Mika : " um-oo din siya sakin kaya wag kang feeler "

I rolled my eyes at her

Vic : " taray mo talaga, love meron ka ba? "

Mika : " wala "

Vic's POV

We're all in our living room right now watching a movie while Kaira is busy crawling on the carpeted floor suddenly she stopped crawling and sat on one side then her pooping-face was on she always makes that face when she's pooping that determined-serious face of hers. Can't help but smile when she does that she's so cute. After a few moments she crawled towards us. She climbed up the couch and sat on my lap.

Vic : " talagang inupuan mo ako after mo mag poo-poo noh"

Mika : " haha linisan mo na daw siya "

I picked Kaira up and walked towards our cleaning area. I lay her down flat taking her dirty diaper off and throwing it in the garbage can. Wiping her butt with wet wipes I make sure to not miss a spot. Grabbing a new diaper and putting it on her. She gave me this smile where I can see her starting to grow baby teeth.

Kaira : " mmm... "

She mumbled

Vic : " ma-ma "

I slowly said

Kaira : " ma- "

She said trying to imitate me but failed

Vic : " MA-MA "

I said slower for her to understand. C'mon nak konti na lang 'mama' na

Kaira : " mammm... "

She said and laughed after saying it
