Vic's POV

" Vic "

She says. I stare at her. I look at our hands that are intertwined with each other and back to her face. She's crying.

Vic : " sino ka? "

Her eyes widen with what I just said making her cry more.

Her mouth opened but no words came out. She's shock to say the least.

Vic : " joke lang, love. "

I say with a hesitant smile.

I didn't hear anything from her after I said those words instead I felt her body against mine. She hugged me tight while she sobs into my chest I feel the clothes that I'm wearing getting wet with her tears.

Mika : " it's not funny! "

She finally said still with tears strolling down her face.

Vic : " sorry, ganun kasi yung sa mga movie eh "

Mika : " nakakainis ka "

She says but with a smile on her face then I feel a small body hug me on the other side.

Vik : " I missed you, mama "

I kissed his head and wrapped one arm around him because my other arm is still wrapped around Mika. I see the rest of my family standing behind them.

My dad walked up to us with teary eyes as well he took my hand and squeezed it. My mom kissed me in the forehead.

Tita Beth : " thank God you're okay now "

I smile at her.

I look behind them I see my brother and Mika's family all I can see is relief in their faces.

My wife who's still hugging me is still crying. I slowly rub her back up and down.

Vic : " love, I'm okay. I'm okay "

I whisper to her.

Mika : " akala ko kasi- "

Vic : " shh don't worry nandito lang ako "

Moments later a doctor came in.

Mika finally pulls away and sat back down on the chair beside my bed.

Doctor : " good afternoon Mrs. Galang good to see you awake now. I'm doctor Gonzales "

I reached his hand which I took for a shake hands.

Vic : " how long was I unconscious? "

Doc. Gonzales : " 4- almost 5 days. Do you remember what happened "

Vic : " uhm- no, not really all I remember is I was on my way home "

I say really trying to recall what happened that night.

Doc. Gonzales : " your car got hit by anothe car whose driver was drunk while trying to out run the red light "

Vic : " is the driver okay? "

Doc. Gonzales : " he passed away a few hours after the incident "

Vic : " did we do something to help the driver's family? "

I ask the people around me.

Tita Beth : " nak, it was not your fault "

Vic : " does it matter who's fault it was? Nawalan sila ng taong mahal nila it's the least we can do "
