Saturday...

Vic's POV

[Insert phone ringing]

I slowly open my eyes and reached for my phone on the side table.

Vic : " hello "

I say with my husky morning voice

" hello ma'am it's Lisa good morning po "

Vic : " good morning what can I do for you? "

Lisa : " I'm really sorry for calling this early specially on a Saturday but there's an situation here in the office that needs your urgent decision "

Vic : " uhm okay okay I'll be there as soon as I can "

Lisa : " thank you ma'am "

She say and hangs up the phone

I let out a sigh before getting up trying my best not to wake up my wife who's beside me but failed. She started to stir awake and groaned

Mika : " hmm ang aga mo magising "

Vic : " may emergency sa office kailangan ko daw pumunta "

She sleepily rub her eyes while slowly getting up.

Mika : " I'll cook you breakfast "

She says not letting me respond as she exit our room.

I enter the bathroom removing piece by piece my clothes as I step in the shower

As I walk down I can already smell the cooking of my wife. She was facing the stove her back facing me I walk quietly and slowly towards her when I got close enough I wrap my arms around her making her flinch at first but she calms down knowing it was me.

I snuggle my face on her neck

Vic : " hmm ang bago "

I say in satisfaction earning a playful hit from my wife.

Mika : " love, wag ka makulit at maupo ka dyan matatapos na to "

I follow what she said and while I set the table for us not long after Mika was sitting next to me with plates full of food that she cooked.

Mika's POV

We just finished eating our breakfast when I heard Kaira's crying coming from upstairs.

Vic stood up and collected our dirty plate putting it in the sink

Vic : " aalis na din ako para makabalik ako agad "

She said as she kissed my lips and grabbed her things.

Mika : " ingat ka ha "

Vic : " yes po, love "

Kaira's crying started again making me go up the stairs and take her from the crib as soon as I lift her she stopped crying

I carry her downstairs sitting her in her baby chair and started preparing her breakfast not long after manang Pileng came in from outside.

Mika : " good morning po manang "

Manang Pileng : " good morning din nag dilig lang ako sa labas "

She explained she has always been a morning person.

Mika : " kain na po kay nag luto ako "

Manang Pileng : " asan si Vic? "
