Cas sat beside Dean's lifeless body. The commotion around was blocked out as all he could hear was the soft hum of it all as if a door had been closed and he was hearing it from another room.
The sound when you put your fingers in your ears and everything is quietness but not gone.
He put his fingers to Dean's temple. "Come on!" He groaned. Nothing happened.
He stared at his hand in shock. Why wasnt it working??
He brushed his hand through Dean's hair. "Youre fine. Baby, youre gonna be fine." He told Dean but Dean was far from fine.
A crowd of people had now gathered and someone had their arm around Cas telling him an ambulance was on its way.
The sirens were finally heard and they pulled Cas back as they put Dean on a stretcher.
Cas went to get in the ambulance but was stopped.
"Are you family?"
"I'm his boyfriend."
He was given a disgusted look but was allowed to go with Dean which was all that mattered.
When the ambulance got to the hospital Cas had to run to keep up with them as they pushed the bed through the long corridors.
Cas was told to wait outside the room and to call any family or friends who would like to seem him in case things go bad.
The door closed and he was left in silence. Alone.
He felt into a chair and began to sob, sob more than he ever had before.
He shakily got put his phone and clicked on lucifer's number.
"Hey Cas, you were suppose to be back hours ago, where are you?"
"Luce, it's Dean." He cried.
"Cas, what happened?"
"There...there was an accident...he's...he's..." his breath caught in his throat and he began to hyperventilate.
"Cas! Where are you??"
"Sioux Falls Hospital."
"I'm on my way. Hang in there."
The line went silent.

Lucifer put down the phone and looked at Michael who was sitting up alarmed. "Whats going on?"
"Theyre in hospital." Lucifer panicked. "C-Cas said that i-it's Dean. I don't kn-now what though..."
Michael's eyes widened and he jumped out of bed, pulling on his shoes and jacket as Lucifer grabbed his and ran to the living room.
"Gabriel. Shoes on. Now." He ordered pulling his on.
Gabriel did as he was told without question, sensing something was wrong. They got in the car and drove to the hospital.
"W-why are we here?" Gabriel asked as they got out.
"Something's happened." Lucifer said, unsure himself.
"Cas?!" Gabriel panicked.
"Dean." Michael told him.
Gabriel's eyes still looked panicked. He didn't want to lose Dean either.
They ran in and to the room Cas had texted them. Outside the door were four chairs, one occupied by Cas who had his head in his hands and was sobbing.
"Cas!" Gabriel yelled and ran to him, pulling him into a hug.
"He's not gonna make it." Cas cries into his arms.
Lucifer looked at Michael who was stood with tears in his eyes.
"Mikey?"
"No. Hes not gonna die. He can't." Michael said stubbornly before walking out the door.

The four boys sat in the room beside the battered boy. Michael cried into Lucifer, not wanting to look. Gabriel sat beside Cas who was as close to the bed as he possibly could.
"Hello Dean." Cas tried to smile. "They're not sure if you're gonna make it. They say you can go either way now." Cas took dean's hand. "When I met you, I instantly fell in love. And after an hour, I couldn't imagine my life without you. And now that there is a chance that my life with not have you in it, I don't know what to do, Dean. I cant live without you." Cas felt tears rushing down his face as he put his other hand on top of his own. "Dean...you cant leave me, not now. Not ever. I just got you back. Don't you dare leave me again, don't you dare." He said through gritted teeth as he wept uncontrollably. "We need you, I need you. I need you to be here for me. Michael needs you dean, he's lost so much, he can't lose you too. Goddammit Dean. I love you so much. Just wake up. Please. I'm begging you dean."
Gabriel pulled cas into a hug.
"Gabe, he can't go. He can't leave me, I don't know what I'll do."
Gabriel began to cry. "It's okay, Cassie. You're okay."
"It should've been me. Why wasn't it me?!"
The machine beside the bed began to beep quickly and the nurses began rushing in saying random medical crap.
"No." Cas whispered.
They all stood up and stepped back, Gabriel pulling Cas.
Michael slung his arms back over Luce, burying his head into his chest and crying.
"Dont." Cas cried.
The sound thinned out.
"I gotta flat line!" One called.
They all rushed around until one raised her hand. "Alright, I'm calling it."
"No!" Cas yelled through his tears. "No! Dean!"
"Time of death, 1:37am."
"NO!!!!"
