Epilogue
Louis’ POV
“And that’s how we officially became Larry Stylinson,” Harry said, finishing off our story. We were in an interview and Harry and I were finally officially coming out together. For real this time.
“Wow,” the interviewer said. “That was an interesting story! It’s like some twisted love story or something. So looking back now to the x factor days, what do you think about the fact that you used to hate each other?” she asked. Harry’s thumb stroked over my hand as we turned to look at each other shyly.
“I guess, now that I think about it, I think we both let our first impressions of each other get in the way of a possible friendship or romance. Looking back now, I think our hatred for each other was pretty stupid,” I replied, still staring lovingly at Harry.
“Aww you guys are actually the cutest,” she cooed. “So what about Eleanor?” she asked.
“Although I remember I said that I never wanted to see Eleanor again after she told me she cheated on me, I think now, that she helped Harry and I get together, I don’t hate her anymore but I guess I don’t think I’ll ever be able think of her in the same way anymore. I like her as a friend but that’s all,” I said.
“I agree. I don’t think I could forgive Eleanor for breaking Lou’s heart but if it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t know for a while that Louis was in love with me and we’d still be pretending together but now we don’t have to pretend,” Harry said, smiling.
“So how long ago was this?” the interviewer asked.
“So the beach thing was about 1 month ago,” Harry said.
“So you’ve been together officially for 1 month?” she asked to which we nodded, in response.
“And how has this month been?” she asked.
“To put it simply, it’s been the best month of my life,” I replied, resting my head on Harry’s shoulder. His hand came up to rest on my shoulder, playing with my shirt.
“So, what was it like for both of you when you realised you were in love with each other? I know you told us a bit when you told us your story but how about more juicy details,” she said, cheekily.
“As you know we both went through massive stages of denial just because we were so used to hating each other so for me, when I found out I was in love with Harry, it was a shock. For me it was like forbidden love so I refused to let my feelings overtake me. But when I did, I think I just wanted to spend every single minute with him. Even though he didn’t like me the way I did, or I didn’t think he did, I still wanted to be with him just because I loved being with him. At the same time, it was frustrating knowing or thinking that he didn’t like me back,” I said before Harry interrupted me.
“But I did like you, Lou,” he said, pouting. I couldn’t help but melt on the spot.
“Of course but I didn’t know it then,” I replied. The interviewer chuckled before turning to Harry.
“Well what about you, Harry?” she asked.
“I think it was pretty much the same although I took a lot longer to realise it,” he said to her.
“Ok. And what did you think initially when management told you about their idea?” she asked.
“As you know, I was furious. Like I had recently gotten together with Eleanor and Harry and I hated each other and I was just wanting to chuck something at them,” I replied.
“For me it wasn’t as bad because I didn’t have a girlfriend but I still found it pretty infuriating just because, yeah as Lou said, we hated each other,” Harry said.
“As we said before, management said that one day we might thank them and I think that’s true cause if it wasn’t for them, we’d still hate each other. So thank you, management,” I said.
“But of course you obviously don’t hate each other anymore,” the interviewer said.
“No,” we said in unison.
“Awww you’ve only been together for a month and you’re already in sync!” she squealed. Harry and I blushed as she cooed in awe.
“So what did the other boys think? Were they supportive?” she asked, once she composed herself again.
“I think the boys were almost as shocked as we were but yeah they’re so supportive of us. I think they’re just glad we’re not fighting anymore,” I said.
“Hm. Ok. We’re going to play a game now. I’m going to show a picture up on the screen and you have to describe what was happening at the time and then recreate the moment for us,” she said. We both nodded before she clicked a button to show the first picture. It was a picture from shortly after the beach day.
“That’s when we went out for a coffee date a few days after we officially got together,” Harry said. “We’d just gone to Starbucks and were just walking around together,” he said. In the picture, our hands were joined, my head was on his shoulder and we were both holding Starbucks cups. Harry got up, pulled me up and joined our hands like it was in the picture, and then I leaned my head on his shoulder, smiling up at him.
“That’s even cuter than the picture!” the interviewer exclaimed. “Next picture.” The next picture was a picture of us on an interview together.
“That was when we had an interview with the boys and it was just a normal interview,” I said. In the picture, Harry was turned to me and was whispering something in my ear while playing with my hand.
We quickly recreated the moment like we were supposed to and then we moved on to the final picture.
It was the picture of us kissing on the Ferris Wheel.
“That was our first kiss and the day I realised I was in love with Harry,” I said to her.
“You were in love with me since then? Wow. I feel like a jerk now,” Harry exclaimed.
“It’s ok, Haz,” I said, smiling up at him. “I love you,” I said before recreating the moment, and leaning in and kissing him, his hand instinctively coming up to cup my cheek. The crowd around us erupted into squeals and screams but to me it was only him and I.
When we broke away from each other, he looked into my eyes.
“I love you, too,” he replied.
Right then and there I realised it. We had proven that there was a fine line between love and hate. A fine line between being archenemies to being boyfriends and a fine line between wanting someone dead, and them being the only reason you’re alive. A fine line between hating them, and being completely and utterly in love with them. That fine line existed and we had crossed it and there was absolutely no regrets.
A/N and there we go. The end of TFL :( This was actually my favourite wattpad story to write so far. I quite like how this turned out. I hope you guys liked reading it just as much as I loved writing it! Unfortunately, there will be no sequel as there isn’t really much of a storyline that can come from this.
I love you guys. Thank you so much for reading this, voting for it, commenting on it and sharing it! You guys are amazing.
I’ll do a “character asks” if I get any questions, so if you have any questions that you want to direct to particular characters, write them below in the comments and I’ll post the answers as a new chapter.
Once again, thank you so much for supporting TFL and reading it. Sorry that I’m not doing a sequel. If you have ideas for sequels or want to write a sequel for this story, PM me please!
I love you.
