Chapter 15

Emilio

"Bro, you actually broke up with Bella? I thought you really liked her," Ivan said, seeming really confused despite the fact that he was there when we had the conversation with Jake.
"I dunno, what if she ends up wanting to be with Marcus or our careers get messed up or we get jealous and stuff?" I asked, taking into consideration what Jake said.
"Emilio I think you should try to fix it or you'll be losing out on something and someone incredible," Ivan said. I let out a loud sigh and put my head in my hands. I'm not sure I'd be able to fix anything now that she's already gone, I don't even know what I would say.

"Talk to the girls, they know her best," Ivan suggested. After talking some more with Ivan, I decided to go talk to Alissa, who was probably who was closest with Bella when she was living here, other than Lucas and Marcus.
"Alissa, what do I do?" I asked her.
"Well, first of all, you're stupid for listening to Jake. He only really cares about himself and doesn't care if people get hurt as long as he's fine," she explained. She seemed to be pretty angry with him, I wonder what he had done. "He just wants what's best for him, not anyone else."
"So how do I fix it?" I asked her, a desperate tone in my voice.
"Leave her be for a bit, she's the type of person who will ignore you when she's upset. Then just explain you were wrong and blah blah blah, say something sweet, and see if she'll take your lucky ass back," Alissa said simply, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
"I guess, I just feel so stupid but I can't help but overthink," I explained, feeling torn about what to do in this all new situation.
"Think about what you want, Emilio, not Jake or anyone else. You're you, do what's best for you," Alissa said, flashing a quick smile, which caused a weak one to appear on my face as well.

Bella

"DARI!!!" I screamed as we walked into the Dobre house, the place that I probably have had the most good memories in. I ran up to Darius and he picked me up in a tight hug, spinning me around. After putting me down he hugged his brothers as well. Cyrus as well as their parents came downstairs and we all gave them hugs as well.
"Sit sit, we made cookies!" Aurelia smiled as she went to the kitchen and brought back a plate of chocolate chip cookies. I giggled and thanked her as I took one off the plate.
"Guess I should go see my own parents and siblings, huh?" I laughed as I took another bite of the cookie.
"They're coming here don't worry sweetheart," Aurelia reassured, waving her hand for me to sit back down on the couch and stay. As if perfectly on queue, the front door opened and my mom, dad and sister came walking in. I ran up to them and gave them all tight hugs, happy to see them after being gone for quite some time now. I hugged my sister, Alisha, extra tight. She was younger than me but we always got along super well, despite the fact that I spent all my time with the twins. We all sat back on the couch and Lucas, Marcus and I told our families a bit about LA and the other Team 10 members and some of the things we experienced while we lived there.

"If I had your life I'd never come back," Alisha laughed.
"I guess we needed a break and missed home, it's always good to take a break so you stay down to earth, yaknow," I shrugged, ruffling my little sisters long dark brown hair, causing her to swat my hand away. 
"I guess, but your life is unreal," she laughed.
"It doesn't always feel that way," I said quietly, my mind wandering back to Jake and Emilio and everything that happened before we had come home. "The hardest thing is leaving behind our friends, it's not what you do but who you do it with."

After we had a family night together, I went back home and into my room where I put my luggage down and flopped onto my bed, feeling nostalgic being back in my old room. I was too tired to unpack so I just lied there alone with my thoughts.
Why did Emilio suddenly get so weird? We had talked about this and said we both thought we could make it, and he just randomly changed his mind. I knew Jake put him up to it, Jake was always managing to find ways to screw up things in my life, I was pretty fed up at this point.

Hopefully things would end up working out, I guess for now, only time will tell.
