"Alright class, today we'll be starting the actual course so get your economics books out and turn to page twelve" Mr Payton calls out as he walks into class.
He skims over the class and marks the roll without calling our names. I guess he has a good memory. I shift in my seat, debating on whether I should hop up and talk to him about my 'no text book' situation. I'm meant to get my text books from my teachers since it's been donated to the school for me. SIghing, I walk up to his desk. He hadn't realised I was there so I cleared my throat. Looking up at me, he smiles softly.
"Miss Vallian, what can I do you for?" Biting my lip I blush softly with embarrassment.
"I don't have a book sir, they were donated to the school" My voice soft and vulnerable.
I hate that I have to do this, I hate that I have to depend on other people, I hate owing people. His eyes go wide with realisation of what I was talking about and he smiles and nods his brown head.
"Sorry Miss Vallian, I completely forgot about that. Tell you what, you can come with me now to get it from my office" He shoots me a dazzling smile, the same dazzling smile his brother has.
"Okay" He addresses the class and tells them to read and summerise pages twelve to eighteen while he's gone.
Turning to me, he gestures for me to go before him. I do so, with him following behind me. I stop in the middle of the hall way and fall to the floor by Mr Payton slamming into me. I groan as he gasps and lifts me up effortlessly.
"I'm so sorry Miss Vallian...why did you stop anyway?" I blush and clear my throat.
"I don't know where your office is, so I stopped in order for you to lead the way" He chuckles at my answer, causing me to blush in embarrassment.
"Come on Miss Vallian, it's just down here" I nod and follow him down the hallway.
"Why do you keep calling me 'Miss Vallian' for? I mean you don't address anyone else by their last name" He nods his head.
"I guess, I've known all of my other students since my first year here three years ago so I know my boundaries and they're comforable with me as I am with them. If it makes you uncomfortable than I'll start calling you Lillyth" A charming smile to finish off his short ramble.
"It doesn't really bother me, I don't like being called Lillyth, I prefer being called Liv" He chuckles and nods his head.
"Your initials?" He asks rhetorically.
I nod my head and smile, finally someone who gets it.
"Well, I guess I'll start calling you Liv from now on" I smile and nod saticefied.
"So how are you settling in so far?" I look up at him and shrug.
"I'm not use to this life style, I'm use to getting into trouble honestly" He nods his head.
"I was the same at your age. I wanted to make everyone feel as miserable as I was" I frown softly.
"Why were you miserable?" He glances my ways and opens the classroom door.
"Stick around after the bell goes, have lunch with me and I'll finish this conversation with you" He whispers into my ear before walking to the front of the class after handing me my book.
"Liv, why'd you two take so long?" George whines.
Rolling my eyes I laugh and shake my head.
"We had to get my text book" He smiles and slings his arm around me.
"How about we hang out this afternoon?" I frown and shake my head.
