Run, run, jump, tern left, climb the fence, hide in the shadows and run some more. Don't you dare look back or you'll fall and be caught. The same chant running through my head as my heart pumps with adreniline, another day, another theft. The sirens are going like crazy I run smirk at my partner in crime and make my way back to the abandoned wearhouse.

The sirens are getting louder as we enter, it's too late. We both know it when the lights shine in our faces and the coppers yell at us to get onto the ground. Kneeling down I keep my cool as I watch my partner crack under pressure. She has parents, she has a life to go back to. A reason not to get caught, I have nothing. Nothing but my brother and they took him away from me already.

Putting the cuffs on me, struggling to get out of his grasp. I'm wriggling and squirming just to make his life difficult. I can feel his hot breath on my neck, sending shivers down my spine. Pinning me to the wall so I couldn't move anmore he whispers.

"Calm down sweetie, no one's gonna hurt you" His voice husky and deep.

I felt obliged to obey him. walking with him rather than against him I hop into the back of the police car. Gladly accepting the fact that I'll be going back to Juvy. It's better than the abusive foster home I'm in now.

Waking up at the sound of my alarm I groan and sigh with annoyance. Another day, another dollar. Getting out of my bed I walk to the shower, only cold water. I must have forgotten to pay the gas bills. Letting the cool water rush over me, I sigh in melancholy. Nothing is the same anymore. No more release, no more escaping reality. If I want to get custody of my brother by the time I'm eighteen I have to get my act together.

Pulling up my now damp brown hair into a messy bun and placing some soft black mascara onto my eyes, making my green eyes stand out. My uniform is quite desheveled. I hadn't had time to iron it. That wont help me at all since I'm already going to be the new girl starting her senior year. Pulling on my black blourse with the school emblem on my left breast, placing on my black blazer, rolling up the sleeves up to my elbows. I groan in annoyance as I pull on the mid thigh, dark green checkered skirt. Who wear skirts these days? Honestly...

I hear the ringing of my door bell and smile. That'll be Chase, my little brother. Running to the doors with only one shoe on I open the door. Chase tackles me in a hug, his head coming up to my torso. My ten year old brother, with all his shaggy brown hair and deep blue eyes.

"I wanted to say good luck for today. I know you're starting at a new school" He says grinning up at me. Ruffling his hair I smile.

"Thanks buddy, did you want some breakfast?" I offer.

Before he could answer, his foster father places a hand on his shoulder, and brings him back out of the apartment.

"No, he's already had dinner and now he's running late for school" I watch as Chase's whole body sags in disappointment.

"Maybe another time Chase" He smiles up at me and nods his head before leaving. Everytime he walks out that door, a part of my heart breaks.

Grabbing an apple and my keys, I walk down to the parking lot, grabbing my old Holdan Astra that my parents had owned and left to me. It's old, needs work but it runs and is one of the only things I have left of my parents. I arrive with all eyes on my car as I park. Looking up at the building in shock I turn my car off. Who would have thought a school could be so huge. All the schools I've been to seem to be so small. I don't even know who's paying for my school fees, it was an anonymous donation of money for my schooling.

"Hey you" I look up from my map of the school.

I'm lost, the bell had gone already. Looking up, I see the police officer who had arested me the last time. His blond hair and blue eyes. I smile softly.
