Maya and Lucas have been staying together at college for a while now. They both didn't want to live with some random strangers so they made some arrangements besides it's easy for them...they're best friends after all. Almost everyone who comes across them always think they're dating because of how close they are. They call each other babe, baby, babyboy, and do all that couply shit.
Maya POV
I was on the couch watching The Fault In Our Stars, stuffing my face with popcorn, waiting for Lucas to come home when I hear the door swing open.
"Lucas? Babe is that you?"
Nothing.
Maya got up and went into a direction that led to their patio where she heard sniffles. She went fully onto the patio where she saw her best friend sitting on one of the chairs crying.
"Baby, why are you crying?"
"S-She cheated on me" Lucas choked out
My heart actually broke a little. I hated seeing my best friend like this, he didn't deserve this.
I went over and pulled him up and hugged him tightly.
"Come talk to me."
I brought him into the living room and we sat on the couch.
"Lucas..tell me what happened."
"I-I was headed over to her apartment when...when I heard groans and moans coming from outside the front door. So I went in a-and there she was..on top of some guy on the couch." Lucas said with tears falling out of his eyes.
"Baby, I'm so sorry. She doesn't know how much of mistake that was, you're the best guy ever, the best it's ever gonna get."
"I-I just don't understand. I thought we were fine, you know? Was I just not good enough for her?
Maya scoffed.
"Lucas don't you ever doubt for even a second you're never good enough, you hear me? You're always good enough. She's an idiot for what she did, she doesn't deserve you. You deserve someone who's gonna be loyal to you, love you, and keep you happy."
Deep down, Maya wanted to be that person.
"Thank you Maya. I love you" Lucas said as they hugged.
"Anytime. What are best friends for?"
"I'm gonna go to our room and take a nap, join me if you want."
"Yeah, no! Go ahead, I'll be there in a few"
He got up and went into our room.
"I love you too" Maya whispered looking down

Maya had already now joined Lucas in bed and they were cuddled up in a nap together.
I was started to get worried because he wouldn't wake up. He was obviously having a nightmare about his ex.
"No! I'm sorry! Please don't leave me! I'll do better!" He screamed.
"Lucas! Baby wake up! Lucas!" I shouted as I shook him in attempt to wake him.
He woke up frantically and looked over and saw Maya with a worried look on here face.
"What happened?"
"I just had a bad dream"
"About her?"
"Yeah. I'm just not over it yet."
Maya sighed and started playing with her fingers. Lucas noticed this.
"Babe, are you ok?"
"Don't you ever think that there's someone out there for her other than her?"
"Maya-"
"Don't you ever think that there's someone out there who loves you or wants you?"
"I don-"
"Newsflash Lucas! She's not the only goddamn girl in the world!"
Lucas had a shocked look on his face.
"I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have-"
She was cut off by Lucas putting his hand on the side of her face going behind her ear and his lips going at hers.
They're lips moved in sync as they continued in their long and passionate kiss. Maya put her hand on Lucas' arm as they both went down gently onto the pillows. Lucas trailed his hands up and down Maya's bare legs. They came up for air as Maya pulled Lucas' shirt over his head and they went right back to each other's lips.
And well...we all know what happened after that atehe😏

Maya was playing with Lucas' fingers as they were lying in bed together..naked.
"Lucas?"
"Hm?"
"I know I shouldn't ask this right now to not ruin the moment but um..are you still thinking about her?"
"Really Maya? After what we just had sex, you think I'm still thinking about her?"
"Well.."
Lucas laughed, "No, Maya. I'm not thinking about her. Why think about her anyway when I got you."
Maya blushed and stop playing with his fingers and just cuddled more into him.
"Huckleberry, what are we?"
"Whatever you want us to be"
"In that case...Lucas Friar would you like to be my boyfriend?"
Lucas leaned down and kissed her softly.
"Yes."
Maya smiles so wide as their lips met again. Maya wrapped her arms loosely around Lucas' neck and Lucas wrapped his arms around Maya's petite waist.
"Wait." Maya said breaking the kiss
"There's something else that I've um been wanting to say to you and I'm not sure if I'm rushing this but you make me really happy and you make me feel wanted and loved and that's all I've ever wanted to feel in life...Huckleberry?"
"Short stack?"
"I love you."
Maya looked in his eyes and waited for what was to come.
"I love you too Maya, longer than you've ever known."
