First I should introduce myself, I'm Jayden, average geeky teen. Fan art, youtubers, fanfics, you get it. Anyways, everything started out pretty normal that day, the downside was my bad grades, "C or below and there's no phone until fix them" they say... Ugh. I can't believe they do this! I need that phone so I can communicate with other people, play video games, call people. I'm getting off track. So anyways, I was really frustrated, so I went outside to cool off and let my anger float away in the wind. I kicked some dirt in my frustration and what happened i was both very excited about and extremely freaked out by at the same time. The ground beneath me crumbled and soon there was a gaping hole behind the shed. The hole looked man-made, with a smooth path down to the mysterious darkness. I had finished chores and my homework was done, so I figured this was as best a time as any to explore. I began my decent.

After about a minute of slowly cracking down the hole, I saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and shortly after, the tunnel opened up to a much larger room, about the size of a professional basketball stadium. What looked to be large dome-topped doorways to nothing stood nearly 30 feet tall, with long tubes running along the outside leading to a large sphere perching at the top of the arc. There was something above the door but it was too dark to see what they were. In the middle of the room, there was a small table, illuminated by the strange blue light underneath it. It was enough to grant sight of the about 10 feet around the table but not enough to light up the whole room, if it even qualified for the title of room since it was so big. The table had a slew of random objects. Engraved on the side were what seemed to be words that read "please place relics in they're corresponding gateway".
Gateway? Sounds interesting. I looked back at the table and studied the relics. A tattered strip of cloth. A Bronze short sword. A screw. A delicately carved stick of wood. A golden ring with writing on the inside in a foreign language. A magic the gathering card, just a land card, nothing big like a planeswalker. And, a Pokéball?

I was immediately thinking, "this is probably some cheap plastic Pokéball that doesn't really work". But I immediately doubted that it was when I picked it up. It was much heavier than a plastic happymeal toy. Red on the top half and white on the bottom half with a large button silver button in the middle. It was smooth and cool to the touch. Definitely metal. I pushed the button on the front and threw it a few feet in front of me. There was a flash of bright electric blue light and then I heard wet slapping noises like a fish out of water. And it technically was. I was amazed to see a magikarp flopping around in front of me. "KARP, KARP, MAGIKARP" it said as it helplessly squirmed on the stone floor. I opened the Pokéball with extreme surprise. Magikarp came back with a flash of red lightning into the Pokéball, and it closed with a snap. I had no words. "Snap out of it, Jayden," I told myself, "this is supposed to go somewhere right?". I looked around, and in the darkness, I made out the image of a Pokéballs over one of the doors. I ran up to it, and fumbled around for a place to put it in. I eventually found an opening in the tube on the left side of the door. I put the ball in and suddenly, the door to the tube closed and I heard a noise of whooshing air. The Pokéball flew up the tube and soon after the tube around the outside of the door filled with a blue energy traveling all the way up until it reached the sphere at the top. It then glowed white and a holographic image of a Pokéball shone in the sphere. "ITEM ENTERED: POKEBALL" a loud voice boomed and rattled the whole room. I couldn't see the Pokéball anymore, but that was the least of my concerns, because just then I heard a big KACHUNK and the doorway fizzed and crackled and suddenly, BOOM! The doorway now had a glowing blue film of energy where there once was nothing but a stone wall. "WORLD OPENED: POKEMON: KANTO REGION". Wait, wait, wait, wait. Did I hear that correctly? This was a portal TO the world of Pokemon? If it was, where did the other relics lead to? I ran back to the table now perfectly illuminated by the portal I just opened. I decided to find the place the bronze short sword went. I picked it up and it felt much different than normal metal. It felt, like a fraction of heaven. Like half of what god-like feels like. What's a better word than half? Demigod like powers? Wait. That's it! I looked around for something that matched what I was thinking. I stopped at the door with the Greek "Omega" symbol over it. I put the sword in the tube and it zoomed up just as the Pokéball did. Followed by the tube filling with energy, and the sphere at the top shining white with the bronze sword. "ITEM ENTERED: CAMP HALF BLOOD TRAINING SWORD" then there was the fizzing and crackling, then like a campfire bursting into flame after several attempts at lighting it, the blue film of energy snapped into existence with a loud boom. "WORLD OPENED: PERCY JACKSON". No. flipping. way. I was getting a little too excited, but for good reason. I ran back to the table and picked up the screw. The room was now illuminated by two portals and it was easy to see the room now. This one was tricky, because it didn't seem to be "magical" at all. In fact it looked completely normal. Aside from the fine print on the head of the screw. I could barely read it but it read, "property of the doctor". The doctor, now who could that be? I ran through my mind trying to link what the screw said to one of the doors. I glanced at the door with a blue phone booth on it and then, it clicked. I ran over to the door and put the screw in. The process repeated, "ITEM ENTERED: SCREW FROM THE 11TH DOCTOR'S SONIC SCREWDRIVER. WORLD OPENED: DOCTOR WHO". Now I remember that the 11th doctor's sonic screwdriver broke at some point. I recognized the badge's design and put it in the door with the insignia of the enterprise on it. "ITEM ENTERED: BADGE OF A CREW MEMBER ON THE ENTERPRISE. WORLD OPENED: STAR TREK" Hoo-boy this was gonna be interesting.
