One thing you should know about me, I'm a huge Star Wars fan so, not thinking, I ran right into the portal. After I got through to the other side, something felt different. I looked down and I was wearing different clothes. Clothes that looked like someone on tatooine would wear. I also had a sleek DH-17 pistol hanging at my side in a leather belt. I held it in my hands and did some cool poses because why not? I was in a little indention in the ground so the portal was hidden away. I climbed out and looked around. I saw sandcrawler tracks leading to a small village in the distance only visible by the vaporators in the distance poking out over the horizon. I decided that was my best bet to try and find some shelter. So I followed the tracks and headed to the small moisture farm.
After about 10 minutes of walking, I found myself at the edge of the farm. I was hot, sweaty, and tired from walking across the barren landscape. I walked over to the first hut I saw and knocked on the door. There was a woman that came to the door. She looked to be in about her late 60s. Old, but not too old. She must have seen how tired I was, because before I could say a word, she said "oh my, you look terribly worn out, do you need a drink? Some food? Here come inside, sit down". Well that was unexpected. But hey, I'm not complaining. I came inside and sat down in one of the chairs. The home seemed pretty normal, in an alien kind of way. There was a kitchen with all the essentials. A oven and stove, a fridge, cupboards, and a sink. The living room had chairs and a small table, and hallways leading to three different bedrooms. The woman came back out of the kitchen with a glass of water and some meat slices of some kind. Probably Bantha. She asked "So sorry, but I forgot to ask your name, you wouldn't mind would you?"
"Not at all! I'm Jayden. What's your name?"
"I'm Palma. Palma Solo" As in HAN SOLO?I probably looked really dumb with my mouth hanging open like that, but it's hard to keep from doing that when you meet the mother of one of the galaxy's heroes. I made up my mind to ask her if she knew anyone by the name of Han Solo. She suddenly buried hey face in her hands and started crying about him. "He-he left home when he was 16 and I haven't seen him since!" She continued crying and I true to console her when an idea came to my mind. "Palma, do you know what the rebellion is?"
"Yes I do" she said still in tears but not as much now, "they recently destroyed the empire's second death star"
"Then what if I told you that you can see Han again?" I said to her, "if the rebellion recently blew up the death star, then they would be on the forest moon of endor, where their base of operations is".
"You know where Han is?" she said excitedly.
"I think so. Now, we need a ship. How far to Mos Eisley?"Before you could say Nerf-herder, we had hopped in a landspeeder and we were off to Mos Eisley. Palma had two kids who came along for the ride. One was my age and the other was a year younger than me (I don't know for sure since this is a different planet and all). They were a lot like Luke. Moisture farming all their life a longing to go somewhere else. I like that kind of mindset. Anyways their names were Kel and Mark. Kel was my age, and Mark was a year younger. I was treated to a get to know you fest on the way to Mos Eisley. Mark was a real fanatic about technology, he specifically enjoyed spacecraft, and he was always messing with some screws, nuts, or bolts. Kel was a bit of a smart alek but was funny and claimed to be good in combat.
"So, what's your story?" said Mark fumbling with some device, "well," I said, "uhhh..."
At this point I had two choices. Fake my story, or tell them the truth."I guess I'm technically from the future"
