Chapter IV The Two Strangers
“Your keen sense proves that you truly are the son of Regis,” speaks a man as he appears from behind of a tree. He wears an armor made from a metal that Vincent had never seen before although he uses different kinds of metal in creating weapons.
“What’s you’re intention?” asks Vincent. “What do you know about my coward father?”
“Our intention is to force you burst out your hidden power that sleeps for a long time,” answers a lady who also appears from behind a tree. She wears an enchanting dress and she holds a staff with a dazzling azure gem on its head.
“What are you talking about,” misunderstands Vincent.
“Then let me just explain it to you the easier way,” the lady with the staff exclaims as she urgently attacks Vincent. “Now show it to us!”
Vincent draws up a blade and blocks the assault. “I don’t know what you’re saying.” The woman kicks him and he bumps to a tree. She’s strong,” he whispers as he gets to his feet.
She rushes to attack again, but Vincent dodges. The other stranger just silently watches them. The two continue fighting. Vincent sees an opening and punches his foe in her stomach hardly causing her to tumble.
“You’re lost,” declares Vincent as he points his blade unto her. “Don’t dare to fight.”
“Hahahaha!” she tenderly laughs. “Do you really think you already win?” Her eyes shine and a strong rain shower comes out from her staff and pushes Vincent away.
“What just happened?” he unbelieves. “Who really are you?”
“That was nothing compare to my whole power, yet you amaze me that you can still withstand that.”
“He’s very weak,” annoys the other stranger. “I’m wrong about my anticipation to the son of Regis.”
“Don’t ever relate me to that coward!” Vincent angrily yells. With all his left strength, he stands up and attacks the man with the armor. Instantly, the woman blocks his way and interrupts him. “How did you get here so fast?”
“Never keep your sight out from your opponent,” she retorts. She uses her power to knock Vincent down.”
The night is very deep when Vincent regains his consciousness. He hears the conversation of the two strangers. They talk by a fire.
“I suppose you overdid it,” guesses the armored man.
“Overdid it? But I really held back,” refutes the woman. “I don’t know if he can actually help us.”
“But we don’t have any choice. We cannot defeat HIM with only ourselves. The son of Regis can be useful if he can realize his potential. We should venture.”
Vincent finds his blade near him. He suddenly grabs it and intents to struggle again.
“Don’t try to fight. You know that you cannot beat us.”
“Hahaha!” laughs the woman. “Still wants to feel some pain. It’s better if you do what he said.”
“Who really are you? What do you know about my coward father?” enquires Vincent.
“I am Iros and she is Tyfa. We are both Phireans.”
“Phi… Phireans,” utters the confused lad.
“If you truly want to know about your father, then be seated and I’ll tell you everything you need to understand..... even the things you do not know about yourself,” Iros guarantees.
