Yuri sits up from his bed, grinning. He had dreamed about the day before, when Otabek asked him out.
He laughs to himself when he remembers his response, saying the cheesy line of "show me you want me over three days."
Yuri doesn't know how Otabek is going to prove this fact, maybe he doesn't even see how determined that boy is to win his heart.
The blond yawns and stretches, standing up. He walks across his blue colored room to his closet, opening the doors widely.
He hums softly while picking his outfit. Within minutes, gray vans settle on his feet. Faded blue skinny jeans line his legs and an oversized maroon sweater rests on his frame.
He glances at his reflection. He usually never cares much about his appearance, but he wouldn't want to look terrible in front of Otabek.
Yuri smiles one last time at the mirror and twirls around before exiting his room. He shuts his door, echoing a loud thud through his home.
He walks to the kitchen, his feet tapping lightly on the tile beneath his toes.
He sighs and ruffles his hair. He starts to cook eggs at his stove. The tired boy cracks two onto a rusted pan, the eggs instantly sizzling.
While the meal cooks, he glances out the window in front of his house. People pass by peacefully on the sidewalk outside, wind blowing their hair in the wind while petals and leaves fall around them.
One person in particular stands out to Yuri. He narrows his eyes and squints at them, taking in their features. He could recognize this person from anywhere. Otabek Altin.
Yuri smiles and taps on the glass of his window, hoping the tall boy can hear it. Otabek continues to walk but stops, looking around at the noise.
He spots the familiar blond waving at him through his window and he waves back. Yuri points to the direction of his front door, gesturing for Otabek to head there.
Otabek follows Yuri's pointed direction and knocks on the thin, wooden front door.
Yuri quickly shuffles out of the kitchen to open the door. As soon as he's visible, he leaps into the raven haired boy's arms without hesitation. Otabek laughs and holds Yuri close, both of them grinning.
"I missed you! Even if it's only been a day." Yuri exclaims with twinkling eyes. His lover kisses the top of his head lightly. "I missed you too, kitten."
Yuri blushes at the nickname and opens the door behind him, leading Otabek inside.
"Wow, your house is huge." Otabek says in awe. Yuri smiles. "Why thank you. I saved for it myself." He adds, making Otabek cough in surprise.
"What? How? That's amazing." He says honestly, taking in the cozy yet spacious home encasing them.
"Have you had breakfast yet?" Yuri asks, entering the kitchen while Otabek takes a seat at the table. "Not yet."
Yuri flips the two eggs on the pan and slides them onto pieces of toast, sprinkling salt and pepper on top. He smiles at his work and brings the plates to the table where a hungry Otabek sits.
"Get ready to devour the unborn." Yuri says while sitting down beside his lover. Otabek chokes on air. "What?" He says through nervous laughs. Yuri rolls his eyes. "We're having eggs."
Otabek puts his head in his hands and laughs. "Right." He says, though as soon as Yuri hands him a fork he begins to devour the breakfast.
"Wow, these are good eggs." He says with a mouth full of food. The chef giggles and takes a bite. "The best for the best." He says.
The two eat in a comfortable silence, occasionally brushing hands under the table. When they finish their meal, Yuri takes the dishes and places them in the sink.
"What should we do today?" He asks, returning to Otabek's side. Otabek thinks for a moment. "Today, day one of three, I'll be taking you on a simple date." He says happily.
Yuri grins. "What time?" He asks. "How about now?" Otabek replies, looking at his watch. "But we just ate." The blond points out.
Otabek shrugs. "Who says it's a food date? We're going ice skating." He says with a grin.
Yuri's eyes light up. "Really? How'd you know I skated!" He says, clapping his hands happily. "We talked about it once in text." Otabek replies, pulling Yuri into a hug.
"I can't wait!" He squeals. "It's been a while since I've skated." He adds after a moment. Otabek shrugs. "We'll relearn together."
The Russian pecks his lover's cheek. "You're the best." He says with a wide smile on his face. Otabek grins. "Only the best for the best."
