NARRATOR'S POV

"He isn't here either." Namjoon huffed ignoring Hyesang who was clinged onto him.

"Walk slower!"

"Why do you keep following me!" Namjoon said and that sentence was historically his phrase for the past two months.

Hyesang rolled her eyes and waved her hand, showing her ring off."We're married!"

Namjoon squirmed his hand out of her grip and paced away from her.

"Okay, just because you can't find your brother here, doesn't mean you can take your anger out on me!" She crossed her arms and pouted. "Can you walk slower?"

"No." Namjoon answered looking at the map on his phone. Hyesang ran awkwardly behind him, not being able to catch up with his rapid speed.

"You've been looking for Myung-do ever since we arrived. Why? He's the one who left and he hasn't contacted you since. And your mom was sick. And our wedding was just around the-"

"He's still family and he must've had a reason. And he can help me."

"Help you?!With what?!" She scoffed.

"Nothing that concerns you." Namjoon absentmindedly responded.

"Of course it does! I am your wife-"

"You aren't really my wife. It's just what the law says." He growled sternly. "And plus, I'm just being civil with you. I'm trying to keep things professional."

Hyesang frowned."Professional?"

"I mean, I don't see myself falling for you."

"Because?"

And Namjoon remained silent, but Hyesang soon broke the ice once again.

"Where are you going?"

"Home."

"You might as well give me a ride home." She suggested.

Namjoon didn't protest as much as he wanted to, instead he continued to give her the cold shoulder.

"Sit in the trunk. Only my homies sit in the front." Namjoon beamed devilishly, blocking the car door and she reluctantly sat in the back, rather than the trunk.

She continued to babble during the ride and of course, Namjoon paid no attention to it.

"Namjoon, can't you pay more attention to me? Can't you take more interest in me?"

"No." He spat, making his way to their apartment after shooting out the car.

"WAIT!" She screeched.

She screamed. "Why is it that I have to sleep in the guest room? We should sleep together- What are you looking at?"

"Umma.." Namjoon mumbled staring at the woman who was at the front of their door.

Hyesang bowed and offered the woman a hug, which she didn't take.

Usually Namjoon's mom was so fond of Hyesang, but this time she didn't even bat an eye to her.

Namjoon's mom also use to have a cold look in her eyes, but this time they gleamed with sadness.

"Umma!" Namjoon shouted. "Why are you here? Why didn't you stay in Korea? You're sick! What if you-"

"Namjoon-ah. I'm not sick." She confessed and tears rolled down her cheeks.

"W-what are you talking about Umma?"

"I need to talk to you alone." She fixed her hair and sighed. "I want to talk to you as a mother this time."

***

"Jin, what if I told you that Namjoon isn't a married man and that Hyesang isn't a married woman?"

Jin froze, his feet was rooted to the ground.

Myung-do was interrogated with different types of questions from the others.

"Hyung, what are you talking about?" Jin finally managed to say causing the chaotic shouts to end, and everyone's eyes were on him.

Myung-do straightened his back and rubbed his hands together. "They aren't married."

Is this a dream? Jin thought.

"But, there was a wedding." Taehyung piped.

"The officiant who announced them married, was an actor."

"Actor?" Jin whispered, precious pearls cascading from his eyes.

"But they signed papers." Yoongi reminded.

"They were fake." Myung-do answered, happy to get it off his chest. "Abuji hired him, and it wasn't easy."

"And he didn't have a chance to tell me, because I was already in China and had no contact with him."

Myung-do indeed got skinnier, and every move he made was uncomfortabe.
Jin had thought that he was traumatized from being threatened by his own mother. Which is most likely the case.

Hoseok let out a loud cheer."So Namjoon is technically-"

"Single." Jungkook gasped. "They can finally be together...."

".......He can still be mine." Jin chorused. Happiness and tears glistened in his eyes and he was attacked with nothing but hugs.

He buried his head into his hands and mumbled. "Maybe we can still be together."
