Evan's POV
He was dating Connor Murphy. Holy shit.
Connor drove him home, and kissed him goodbye. He felt like he was flying. Maybe it would be a good day, week, or maybe even year after all.
"Hey mom!" He called, noticing her car was there.
"Hi honey, did you have fun?" She asked.
"Y-yeah. It was a lot of fun. Um, can I tell you something?" He spoke fast.
"Of course!" She seemed excited that he was sharing with her.
"So, I'm dating some one..." He started.
"Really? What's her name?" HER. HER. HER NAME.
"Connor."
"Oh."
"Is that okay? Because I really like him and he needs help, so we became friends and now we're dating? We only started talking a bit ago, but I've talk to him before, and he just needs some good people in his life and-"
"Connor Murphy?" She asked.
"Yeah."
"Oh, honey.
"What?"
"I'm going to tell you a bit about Connor, but you can't repeat this to anybody. Ever, and Evan, I mean that."
"Okay, I swear."
Connor's pov
"Connor? Wher-"
"With Evan and Jared. I told you guys but you didn't listen because nobody actually fucking listens to me." He felt the anger coming back.
"Connor, who's Evan?"
"My boyfriend." He spat, finally admitting to his family the secret he kept pent up.
"You're gay?" His dad asked, almost too quiet, too angerly.
"You got a fucking problem with that? You know what, whatever. I don't care." He stormed to his room.
"Connor?" Zoe asked stepping in front of him.
"Move." He yelled.
"You're dating Evan?"
"It's none of your business!" He screamed, pushing her and slamming the door closed behind him.
"Fuck!" He screamed, punching the wall. It was the only way to cope for him. Or drugs.
Drugs. He needed to smoke. He grabbed a pack of cigarettes and climbed onto the roof. He lit one and puffed the smoke. He needed to calm down. But it was hard when all he could hear was Zoe crying.
He pulled out his phone and called Evan. "Pick up," he mumbled.
"Connor? What's wrong?"
He realized he was crying. "I hate my parents. And Zoe. And me."
"Connor, don't say that. Because I don't hate you."
"You're the only person that I actually like. I came out to my parents, and my dad seemed to get mad, so now I'm on the roof."
"Connor."
"What?"
"Wh-why are you on the roof?" Evan sounded scared, like he thought that Connor was going to jump.
"No, Evan, that's not why I'm on the roof. I'd get in more trouble if I smoked inside, so," he heard Evan sigh.
"Do you want to spend the night with me? My mom can call your parents and maybe she can calm them down. I can come pick you up," Connor smiled.
"Thanks, Ev. You always can calm me down."
"Bye, Connor,"
"Bye Ev." Love you.
