"You're beautiful you know that?" He pushed a strand of my jet black hair out of my face. I looked down at our espresso wooden floors. "I'm not" I wiped the tears that kept following.
"I don't know why you don't see it" he stared at me blankly, I can't believe the love of my life is actually sitting here next to me.
It's crazy how we were just in high school and he had never acknowledged me at all, now we're married.
"M-Mateo I never thought I would be good enough for anyone" He intertwined our fingers together kissing my hand.
"Baby just remember, there comes a point when you have to realize that you'll never be good enough for some people. The question is, is that your problem or theirs?" His lips brushed against mine as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"I love you Mariah, and I always will" he said as we laid down on the bed together....
"I love you more Mateo"
Ever since that night, I never felt those feelings ever again.
