Ch.11

~Mary's POV~

This week was CRAY!

I met the Magcon boys, got kicked out of a hotel, spent a night on the streets, got mobbed my fangirls, put in a wheelchair, and my friends got kidnapped.

I am NOT coming back to New York!

Unless Carter is here :)

I was so frustrated with that Lindsay chick.

I just gave her a piece of my mind! BANG!

Make me roll around the hotel, ugh!

So besides that, I am sitting in my wheelchair, waiting for someone to say something.

"Now what?" Olivia asks.

"How about... the carnival!" Hayes shouts.

"Hello?" answers Jack J, "The girls are handicapped! Idiot."

I hate that word, handicapped.

Jack and Hayes get into a fight, but Shawn steps in.

"Guys stop!" Shawn glances me a smile.

Zayuuuuuuuummmmmmmm! That smile!

I look over and Maria is almost drooling over Shawn.

I thought she liked Nash?

"We can just go to the movies maybe?" says Matt.

"Sounds, good!" hayes says, pushing jack one more time.

Off we roll.

So Carter comes and pushes me and we head out the front doors.

"We have to cross," Taylor says.

So we wait for the 'Walk' light to come on.

Aaron is the one in the back, walking slower than us all.

"Hurry up Grandma!" Cam yells.

"I'm taking my time," Aaron shouts back.

All of us get across safely, Aaron still taking his time.

I spin my chair and she some guy in the car waiting.

He is spinning his head, looking dazed.

"Aaron! come on!" Nash yells.

"If you rush me I'm just going to go slower!" Aaron retaliates.

"Carter?" I speak.

"Ya?"

"Look at that guy. Think he is intoxicated?"

"Don't worry about it." he pecks my cheek.

The 'Don't Cross' sign lights up and green light says go.

The intoxicated guy looks at his phone as he accelerates.

Everyone shouts, "Aaron!!"

But it's too late.

The car rams into Aaron, knock him on the ground.

We all run and roll to him.

"Call 9-1- f*cking 1!!!" Yells Cam.

Taylor whips out his phone and does so.

"Aaron?" Jack G asks, "hey buddy, get up. Come on dude."

But there is no response. We can see him moving.

I can feel my nose tingle, and it only does that when I'm about to cry.

Carter kisses me, but it doesn't help.

Aaron Carpenter just got hit by a drunk driver.

An ambulance and cops pull up.

I can't hear anything, not even all the beeping cars and trucks horns.

I'm about to cry.

I look over and Olivia is a waterfall of tears.

Caroline is tearing up.

Maria is just staring, not believing what just happened.

Aaron is rushed to the hospital and we get into cars to meet him there.

A doctor approaches us.

"Can I see, Caroline Lebelance?"

Caroline crutches her way in, and I secretly follow.

I don't go in the curtain but I am close enough to hear.

(Doctor is in bold, Caroline in italics)

"Aaron has a broken leg in 3 places, a broken arm in 2, a bruised rib cage, a VERY mild concussion, and should stay over night."

"That fine. Why did only me come in?"

"Aaron just wanted to let someone know. Maybe you are special."

I turn around to tell every, but to see all their faces close to mine, listening as well.

"That's so sad," Maria says.

Caroline comes out, and we all turn and act 'normal'.

"I know you were listening," Caroline says.

"I thought I was special but I guess not," Nash says and turns away.
