Patrick's POV
"So, I was thinking, do you wanna find a place of our own?" I asked Taylor while playing with her hair. "Yeah I think we should because we will get to see each other everyday and I think we are ready." she responded. A huge smile grew on my face. "Does tomorrow work for you?" I wondered. "Yes it does." she smiled.

Taylor POV
I went home and told Ashley.
"Hey Ashley, I'm going to find a place with Patrick tomorrow can you watch Hawk?" I asked. "You're moving out?!?!" she exclaimed. "Yeah Patrick and I are ready to get out on our own." I explained. "Aww, I'll miss you!! And of course I will watch Hawk." she said. "Thanks." I responded.
I went to bed and dreamt about the future and what it holds for both Patrick and myself. I have a feeling it's gonna be a great future.
I woke up with Marshall lying by my feet. I got up, I showered, and got dressed. It's like mid winter so I put on a short sleeve t-shirt that says 'KEEP CALM I'M KANER'S GIRL' on it, skinny jeans, and threw on a black North Face jacket and put my black UGG boots on. I applied mascara to my eyelashes and threw my hair up into a ponytail. I went downstairs.
Patrick got here at about 10:00. "Thanks for watching Hawk, Ashley." I said. "No problem." she responded.

We looked at about 5 places, and went right back to the first house we found. It is about 30 minutes from the UC, it's big, it has 3 bathrooms, a big kitchen, it has an upstairs, pets are allowed there, there's a huge living room, 4 bedrooms, 5 extra closets, there's even an elevator in our apartment, there's a huge terrace, even a movie theatre. Patrick and I decided it was perfect. I wouldn't let him pay for it all himself so we both chipped in and paid it off already. (Savings for me,half of my college savings. I wasn't planning on going to college. It was about 20,000 that I put in.) The whole thing costs 30,000 so I basically paid for most of it myself so that means Patrick only paid $10,000.
I walked into my old place. "You find a place?" Ashley asked. "Yeah, I took some pictures, wanna see?" I replied. "Yes of course!" I showed her the pictures. "Wow that's big!" she exclaimed. "Yeah it is. Wanna help me pack?" I wondered. "Sure."
"I really cannot believe you are leaving me." Ashley said in disbelief. "Dude, I'm legit only 30 minutes away from you." I said with a laugh. "True but it's gonna be weird without you here." she responded.
3:00 PM THE NEXT DAY:
Patrick's POV
We are all moved in, we bought furniture, decorations and other house stuff thanks to the help of some of the team, Ashley, Dayna, Elina, Kristy, Emilee and others. We had a doggy door put on the back door for Hawk.
JANUARY 2017:
Taylor's POV
I looked down at the rock on my ring finger. Patrick proposed on Christmas, last year, just a month ago actually and I said yes.
We are planning on July 19th because it is basically a packed weekend with my birthday on that Monday so we figured it would work and it is also a Saturday.
"So, you and Kaner planning on having kids when you guys get married or after?" Emilee asked. "Yeah we aren't planning on it for a while though. We don't wanna have any right away because we want to get settled into marriage before kiddos come into the picture." I responded. We all jumped up as Toews scored top shelf past Quick in OT. Emilee, Dayna, Elina, Kristy, Ashley and I all stopped sitting in the box with the others because of certain reasons. Reasons such as: they don't cheer crazy like us, they wear business attire always and not Hawks gear and they are too quiet.
Patrick and I went home.
Ashley's POV
Nick and I were out to eat after his game. We went home and changed into nice stuff. I knew we were going out to dinner but didn't know he had something else planned. We were eating and talking. He called the waiter over for a reason that I did not know. The waiter came back with some type of dessert.
Nick and I were eating the dessert and he had a smirk on his face the whole time. "What are you up t--" I paused as I found something in my mouth. I pulled it out and it was a ring. My eyes widened. Nick reached across the table took the ring out of my finger stood up got down on one knee. People looked in our direction. "Ashley we have been together for about 3-4 years now and I love you so much. I know that we are one of the best couples out there. Will you do me the honor of being mine forever? Will you become Mrs. Schmaltz?" he asked. I had tears in my eyes. I was speechless so I just nodded. He slid the ring on my finger, lifted me up and kissed me. "I love you." he said. "I love you too babe." I responded.
NEXT MORNING:
I went with Taylor, Kristy, Dayna, Elina and Emilee today. We went shopping then ate lunch. "So, you gonna explain that rock on your finger?" Taylor asked. "What ro--oh that one. Nick proposed." I said. They all congratulated me.
I went home and started to think. Wedding date. Colors. Bridesmaids. Dresses. My dress. And everything else. I can't believe I will be Mrs. Schmaltz soon.
