I sat in my English class staring out the window, just people watching. I had shown up earlier to school, giving me some alone time in the empty classroom to think. My mind was racing a million miles a minute, most of my attention drawn back to the previous Friday when I had ditched school. It had been such a peaceful day...until he showed up. I hadn't expected Levi to know where I lived, but he did and he had shown up out of the blue...two orders of black tea and a muffin in tow. What transpired after that sent chills down my spine.
My fingers brushed my lips, recalling the memories of how it felt when his met mine. My heart skipped a beat with each image that flashed through my head. Him pinning me to the wall...him carrying me to my room...him stripping me down...and him doing things to me I hadn't expected. After the first round that Friday, he had stayed for two more sessions, each just as sensual as the first. And with each round, my breath was stolen from my lungs. After all that, he had made his leave. Still, I couldn't just forget that day. Now way in hell. It was forever sketched into the depth of my mind.
I sighed and pulled out my phone, distracting myself with mindless scrolling as classmates began to trickle in. Eventually, the boys arrived promptly five minutes before the class began, each flashing me friendly smiles as they slid into their seats around me.
"Look who's back from the dead," Jean joked as he flashed me a smile.
"Yeah. Ms. Ditcher," Connie teased. "Wait till Professor Ackerman gets here. Hope you have a doctor's note."
"I didn't skip," I lied, my cheeks flushing red. "I didn't feel well."
"Do you have a note?" Connie smirked, still poking fun at me.
"N-no," I answered, sinking into my seat. "But -"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk," Jean shook his head, waving his finger. "You need a note."
"Yeah, Professor Ackerman won't like that very much," Marco snickered, his innocent smile putting me at ease.
Though all three boys were teasing me, I couldn't even bring myself to worry about what Levi would say. To be honest, I was more concerned with how I'd act around him after what happened Friday. Would it be awkward? Would it be embarrassing? Would he even look at me? I didn't know. I was too focused on that to even consider how he'd act about my attendance in front of the class. Above all, would anyone figure out what we had done?
"Okay, brats," Levi scoffed as he made his way into the room. "Take your seats and shut up."
At that, the room went silent. The boys all turned to face the front of the room while I hid behind my hair, taking settle peeks at Levi. As usual, he was dressed in a brilliantly white button-down dress shirt, the top few buttons undone to reveal his collarbone and the upper portion of his undershirt. A pair of gray slacks clung to his legs perfectly, the fabric hugging every part of his lower region perfectly. I blushed at it all but continued to observe him. He rolled his sleeves up to his elbows, exposing those throbbing veins I had gotten to touch a few mere days prior. He pulled out the attendance sheet and began to call off names.
That was going to be the moment of truth; the moment I'd follow his cue. Would he scold me for my absence or just brush it off? Whatever the case, I was going to follow his lead. That was all I could do. He read off a few more names until he finally came to mine.
"Y/N?" he read, glancing up to my usual spot.
My name never sounded more appealing than it did rolling off his tongue. His deep voice melted into my ears like smooth chocolate, sending chills up and down my spine as each syllable caressed my ears. His cold stare met mine, stealing my breath away. My nervous twitches began to act up, my index finger tapping at the desk while I bounced one of my legs, all the while those eyes remained on me. I thought I was going to burst, but I managed to play it cool.
"Here," I answered, my voice small and mousey.
He quickly glanced down at his folder and wrote something into it, his voice like velvet as he asked, "Do you have a doctor's note?"
Both Jean and Connie began to quietly snicker as I stuttered, "N-no."
"See me after class then," he instructed before turning to complete taking attendance.
I swallowed, nervous of what to expect. Well, I guess that answers that. I slumped lower into my seat. At least Friday was...nice. I directed my gaze back to out the window. The sun was still pursuing its steady hike up into the morning haze, painting the clouds with shades of marigold and marmalade as it chased away any shadows from the night before. A few students lingered in the courtyard, possibly arriving early to campus to socialize with friends. It was all peaceful but I felt like there was a storm brewing.
**Ello there my lovelies. I know this chapter is short, but I suck, so yeah. Also, I'm trying not to make this a horribly long book, but I have so many ideas that I just can't help it. I might actually make it into a trilogy. I don't know yet, but I'll keep y'all posted. As always, THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR READING!! It always means the world to me! Feel free to leave a comment and/or vote! I'll see ya back here next time! :)**
