I could feel my breath hitch as I stared up into those dark orbs. He was there. It was him, the cause of the nightmares which shook me. The reasoning for my misery. He was my worst fear; the boogyman in my own hellish reality. I couldn't deny what my eyes were revealing to me. Those black irises which appeared to go on forever, that crooked smile with the dimples in his cheeks, that curly black hair that framed his long face, and that tall, slender build which hovered over me. My heart sank. It was definitely him...there was no mistaking it. He found me. He really did it.
"Long time no see," he smiled at me as he scratched the back of his head. "How have you been, Y/N?" He dropped his hands to his sides and motioned to me, adding, "You look great by the way."
I swallowed the lump forming in my throat. I was in utter disbelief. I wanted to blink and it all be a figment of my imagination, but as I opened my eyes again, he was still there. Despite all the miles I had placed between us, despite changing my number, despite blocking him on every social media outlet, he was there. Despite all my best efforts, he had still managed to find me. Any sense of security I had felt dissolved the minute he said my name.
"Oi, Y/N," Levi said sternly. "Do you know this guy?"
My unwelcome guest's eyes darted from me and to Levi. I watched as a murderous emotion masked over his glare and he clenched his jaw. I was petrified. I had almost forgotten all about Levi being there. I was suddenly concerned for not just myself, but anyone I had grown close to, including my secret friends with benefits.
I quickly turned to Levi, who looked just as annoyed, though less diabolical. He sat with his arms crossed firmly against his chest, his glare directed at our company. His stoic expression was cold and hard to read, but I did see a glimpse of something. I could have sworn I saw a tiny sliver of...of protectiveness. He was on guard.
"Yeah, she knows me," our company snapped coldly.
"I wasn't asking you," Levi spat back calmly before turning to me. "I was asking her. " He narrowed his eyes, repeating, "Well, do you know this guy?"
I could feel both gazes searing my flesh as I swallowed, "Y-yes, I do."
"Told you!" our guest snickered.
"How do you know him?" Levi pressed on, ignoring the other's outburst.
I lowered my gaze to the food on my plate. My appetite suddenly vanished as bile rose up into my throat. I didn't want to be there. In fact, I wanted to go find a rock and bury myself under it with all the other insects in the world. That sounded more pleasant than being trapped in that scenario. Anything was better at that rate.
"Go on, tell him," our company ushered, patting my shoulder. His touch made my skin crawl and made me flinch a little, though he didn't seem to notice. He just egged me on. "Go on, Y/N. Tell him."
I glanced up at Levi and chewed my bottom lip, whispering, "This...this is, uh...this is Andy."
"I didn't ask for his name," Levi said coldly. "I asked how you know him."
"For Christ's sake," Andy sighed, annoyance in his tone. "I'm her boyfriend."

P.S. So, I know some people may know an Andy in their life. If you by chance you don't want to call him Andy, feel free to change out the name in the story for a different one, but for the sake of me not losing my mind with another abbreviation, I will continue to call him Andy in here. But you can call him what you want.
P.S.S. I will most likely not be publishing a chapter Monday, September 25th, but I will be back Wednesday, September 27th :)
