(At one of Father Cornello's Miracle Showings)
As Father Cornello preformed his miracles, the Elric brothers examined his work from behind a crowd of both Inklets and Humans who were cheering Cornello for his miracles. "What do you think Al?" Asked Edward. "There's nothing to think. That's Alchemy." Stated Alphonse. "But he's ignoring the Law of Equivalent Exchange. He should of only change the flower into something of equal mass. Not to mention the same material." Added Edward. "Didn't Bendy say something about a Celestial Stone after we told him our story?" Question Alphonse. "Yea, he did. Which means that Cornello might have what we are looking for." Answered Edward. "Serious question, did Felix actually write about the city of Xerxes?" Question Alphonse. Edward nodded. "Felix was the one who found the city and recover some of the culture of Xerxes." Answered Edward as he recalled Felix's book in detail. "Come on Al. Let's see if we can get someone to let us visit this Cornello guy." Stated Edward.
(At one of the Leto Churches)
Bendy and Boris were talking to a girl named Rose. "So you want to meet Father Cornello?" Bendy shrugged and replied "You can say that." "So you two are here too?" Asked Edward. Bendy look at the Elrics and asked Edward "What brings you two here?" "Well, we saw Cornello's 'miracles' and we wanted to see if we can get more information on them." Edward answered. "So your interested in Letoism?" Asked Rose. "Na. I'm not the religious type." Edward answered bluntly. Rose let out a disappointing sigh and said "That's too bad. To know God is to know hope." "Do you think that Cornello can bring back the dead?" Edward questioned. "Yes, I do." Answered Rose. Edward took a seat and pulled out a small booklet out of his cloak and begins to read it out loud "Water: 35 liters, Carbon: 20 kilograms, Ammonia: 4 liters, Lime: 1.5 kilograms, Phosphorus: 800 grams, Salt: 250 grams, Saltpeter: 100 ugrams, Sulfur: 80 grams, Fluorine: 7.5 grams, Iron: 5 grams, Silicon: 3 grams, and 15 other elements in small quantities." Rose, Bendy, and Boris were confuse on what that list was for. "What's that?" Asked Boris. "That's the complete chemical makeup for the average human adult down to the last specks in the eyelash." Explained Edward. "However despite science giving us the complete chemical make up, there hasn't been one recorded successful human transmutation. As if there's something missing, something that science hasn't yet found. So why do you think prayer can do something that science hasn't be able to do?" Questioned Edward. Rose was about to answer, but was cut off by Edward. "And in case you were wondering. All of the ingredients can be bought on a child's spare change at your local grocery store. So it seems that humans are made pretty cheap." Edward stated bluntly. Both Bendy and Boris were trying not to be judgemental toward Edward for what he was saying since they both know his story, but Rose couldn't believe what Edward was saying. "How could you say that?! We all were created in God's image." Rose questioned in a outrage. "You know that through science we alchemists have been given the power to play 'god'." Stated Edward. "Such arrogance! You shouldn't place yourself on the same level as God!" Stated Rose. "You know, there's a legend about a hero who made wings out of wax and tried to fly towards the sun, but once he got too close. The wings melted and he came crashing down to earth." Added Edward. "Brother." Alphonse said a concerning tone. "Right, I'm sorry. Can your Father save an arrogant scientist like myself?" Asked Edward. "Yes!" Rose shouted in excitement. "If anyone can show the light he can!" Rose added.
