Chapter one
No one noticed me as I opened the window to my balcony and clambered out. I wasn't as graceful as I should be.
I am insane for climbing out over the balcony edge. But I do it anyway, for my own satisfaction.
The city below me rages on and in their ignorance, nobody bothers to look up. They know someone wouldn't be crazy enough to climb over the balcony rails.
Apart from me.
I wasn't usually one to enjoy random acts of insanity but over the last week or so, I felt it was necessary to do it. You see, 3 months ago I met a boy who went by the name of Jacob. He was tall with soft blonde hair that framed his pale face and his lean arms refused to show any muscles despite 2 hours of heavy gym work everyday but he was considerably strong.
He was the reason I was trekking across three balconies to get to him. Our parents would have refused to let us see each other in any other way due to the fact that they thought we were going to do something stupid. And because they didn't like gays.
A 15 year old boy and a 17 year old boy may seem like the type to do that sort of thing but both Jacob and I were mature and knew our limits. He insisted that we keep whatever we had under wraps. Jacob wasn't a homophobic, but he didn't want anyone to know about us.
The thing is, I don't even know what we had. It wasn't exactly a relationship but then sometimes it wasn't exactly a friendship. We didn't fight only we just didn't always seem like a couple and sometimes we did more than what friends would do.
I reached my arms up and gripped onto Jacob's balcony. By now was the time when I mostly struggled. Every afternoon I had done gym work that focused on my upper body strength; it was what I needed the most to manoeuvre my way to his place.
"You need to do more work on your upper body strength." A smooth voice murmured.
"Thanks Captain Obvious." I joked as I tried for a second time to haul myself up.
Without another word, Jacob grabbed me and pulled me up, his smirk evident.
"You're welcome." He chuckled once my feet made contact with the concrete.
I smiled as I puffed and panted.
"It would be nice if you could climb to my apartment every once in a while. Since you're so strong."
"Well it's attractive when you climb all that way." He smiled with straight white teeth and placed his hands on my shoulder, the warmth spreading all over me.
"Shut up." My cheeks went a to a pink shade and I looked away.
"So,what are we going to do? My parents are away for like four hours" Jacob smirked his famous 'I have an idea' smirk. It made me wonder what he had in mind. Though I knew he wouldn't take our time alone in the direction of sex. I didn't want that. Yet.
"We could play video games I guess?" I looked at the ground and scuffed my vans on the concrete of the balcony. Vans certainly weren't the type of climbing shoes to be wearing but I had become a natural at climbing here now that it didn't matter what shoes I wore.
"Oh come on Zeke, there is so much more that we could do. Do you really want to waste this precious time on video games?" Jacob's stunning, violet eyes sparkled as he looked at me.
"What do you have in mind you sly fox?" a small smile made its way to my lips.
"Come here" he grabbed me with a little too much force than he probably meant and dragged me inside. There, he kissed me.
His pale red lips were soft and smooth, his kisses making me slightly light-headed because of how rare it was to kiss him.
I loved it...
