I am just a regular guy. I like my sports like any other but could never give my heart to one. I loved to eat. I always said a good meal opens doors. I fell in love with the most beautiful soul on the planet. She just happened to be the princess of the world.
Years ago all the monarchs got together and decided that combining into one ruler would help reduce and eliminate the wars among nations. They where right. After some odd hundreds of year or so(maybe closer to a thousand), all the monarch families merged into one. Some of the rules they kept the same. Like concubines. One king can have as many as five wives. Or Queen. Close to three hundred years ago we had the first female Queen. It was interesting. Or so I have heard.
All that comes to this. In this year we will have another female Queen. She was the only child born of the late Queen and the King(still living). The King Edward Burlington, only loved one woman. So one wife he had. Those of rule blood from the original family of monarchs are candidates for marriage. But this time the king fell in love with a palace maid. They married and had one child together and because of compilations with her birth the Queen couldn't conceive any more. That was the current Princess and the love of my life.

"Hey do you want to play with me?" The little boy asked the crying girl he found in the field he was in. She sniffs a sob and looks up at him. He is average height for a boy his age maybe seven or eight years old. He has big brown eyes and thick curly hair. A chocolate skin tone and light brown hair. Big hands and feet so he will grow well over his height now.
The girl red in the face from crying and part way out of breath looks up. "You will?" The boy smiles down at her. "Yeah! What's your name?" She gets up from the ground and wipes her face with her hands. "Elise. What's yours?" He grabs her hand a starts to lead her to his favorite spot. "Lexington. But you can call me Lex." She smiles. "Lex."
They spend all day play till the sun was dim in the sky. "How that was fun!" She exclaims. Her tan face bright with happiness. Her long coils hanging and tangling all around her back. She stands at the bottom of the tree waiting for Lex to come down. "Yeah! The sun is almost gone." He says looking up. She looks up to and realizes she should probably get home. "Lex I should go home before mom and dad get too mad at me." She says in a sad tone. The Hazel eyes starting to get round with tears. "No no no. No crying I will walk you home." He tells her with his hands rubbing her shoulders in comfort. She looks up at him her in question. "You will?" He smiles down at her. "Of course I will El."
Slowly the walk together through the woods. Him stoping when she need rest and pointing colorful things out to her as they walk into a garden. "Wow this a big garden. Is this the way? Are you sure?" He asks her as a bell goes off in the distance. "Yes I'm sure mommy says I'm smart for a five year old." She says with a big grin on her little face. He laughs at her antics with a shake of his head. "Okay. I'll believe you." His head shoots up as screams can be heard. "What's going on?" He questions as the walk past a pond to a big beach style house. Shouts of adults and the sound of armor can be heard as the get close. All of a sudden 30 armed men start to charge out the door. One man dress in black instead of the others men's gray started yelling out orders. He bows to his feet as a man and a woman come out the house with robes. The man has a small crown on his head and the woman's head is bare but she is in hysterics. The man tries to calm her down enough to talk with the man in black.
"Angus. You have to find my baby girl. She has been missing since morning now I have heard. Someone will pay for this if my little girl is harmed." Angus bows deep before saying, "Yes your majesty." Lex looks down at Elsie as he notices the similarity between the couple standing up there to the little girl whose hand he is holding. "Is that your mommy and daddy?" She nods her head yes as she hides behind him. "I hope they are not mad at me." She starts to look sad again. "It will be okay El." He smiles at her causing her to smile back.
"Hello!" He calls out to the adults at the back of the house. They all turn to his voice. The woman cries in relief. As she runs to Elise. Elise drops his hand long enough to meet her there. "Momma!" She cries. "I was so scared then Lex found me." The words she got through her tears. Lex smiles as the lady rocks her daughter in her arms. He hears metal to look up and see he is surrounded by the men in armor and the Elise's father comes into view. Elise pulls away from her mom almost scared of how her dad would reacted. What he did first almost made Lex jump at him. He smacked he right across the face. Then pulled her into his arms. "Don't you ever do that again!" He looks like he is shuttering as Elise holds her cheek and nods. Once the family is done they all look at Lex. "And who is this?" The man asks. "This is Lex daddy he played with me when I got lost in the woods." Her father studied him closely like he didn't know what to do with him. "Were are your parents?" He asks after a while. "I was told they died when I was three." Lex responds to his question. The Lady let out a noise of shock. "You poor thing!" Lex smiles at her in return a bow with his head. "I'm fine ma'am." A older lady comes into view. "Your highness! Your safe!?" The armored men break up to let her through. Elise let her dad go to hug her. "Your highness?" Lex questioned. The black guard, Angus places his hand on his shoulder. "You boy saved the princess. This is the King and Queen." He points out Elise's mom and dad. "And she is the next ruler of the world." Lex's eyes go to his new friend Elise.
Elise turns around as she catches Lex looking at her. She turns to her parents. "Momma? Daddy? Can Lex be my friend?" All the adults freeze. Have friends outside the place isn't common at all. Not for their little princess. She looks at Lex with such a wonderful smile. If you look at the king you could see his wall cracking. "Don't you dare run off again." She nods her head yes. The king sighs. "Yes. He can be your friend. As long as you make sure Angus or someone is with you two." Elise hops up and down happily. She turns to Lex, "Do you want to stay for dinner? Does Lex have to go home Daddy? Can he stay?" The adults chuckle at her. "Let go inside. He will have to get home after dinner Elise." Little Elise with a sigh says okay as they all move inside.

Fast forward, eight years
"Lex!!!! Lex!! Lexington!!!"
"Yes ma'am?" Lex calls out to the head maid, Gail. She turns around as she now looks up at him. "There you are! My favorite boy!" She pinches his cheeks in motherly fashion. "I heard you got excepted to New World University. I'm so proud of you!"
