Power.
Pawns, everyone of us
Pieces in someone’s unending game
From above they watch us
Who's going to fall next. They feed us with lies
Fatten us like pigs to be slaughtered
Foolishly we consume
The meal that explodes our stomachWe look up to them,
Really there's no other choice
They hold the key to our survival
Defying them would be eternal suicideWe make them promises
We break them, we suffer
They make us promises
They break them, we apologiseWe didn't ask to be pawns
You chose usf or this life
To lure us with false hope, only to watch us fail
Fuelling your ego by bringing us downBut we have no choice but to follow
Because the truth is they own us
They own our money, our health, our peace
And dangle it in front of our eyes
