"How did Cas know about how the Mark of Cain was affecting me?" Dean thought over and over again on his way back to the bunker with Sam.
Sam wanted to say something to Dean about it, but he knew better than to tempt his older brother. Cas told Sam to watch over Dean, so he thought it would be better if he just left him alone. The ride back to the bunker was silent. Once Sam and Dean got into the bunker, Dean went straight to bed, without saying good night. Which wasn't normal of Dean; he always said good night or that he was going to bed.
Sam woke up early that next morning at 3 a.m. He waddled sleeplessly to the bathroom to pee and get a small drink. Of course, to get to the bathroom, he has to walk by Deans room. Since it was cracked, he pushed it open a little more to find Dean with his eyes closed listening to music. How in the world was Sam supposed to confront Dean about the pain Deans going through?
The next morning, Sam wakes up late to find Dean neck deep in a book at the table. This is Sam's only time to talk about Deans pain.
"Dean, look, you are my brother, and I love you. But you're not helping anyone when you keep your pain back like the way you do. So talk to me. What is the Mark of Cain doing to you?" Sam says, grabbing a chair and sitting in it across from Dean.
"Sam I don't want to talk about it I'm fine."
"No you're not. Dean, please."
"I said I'm fine!" Dean yells, as he hits a bottle of liquior, knocking it to the floor and shattering it. He gets up and stampeeds to his room.
Sam doesn't know what to do, so he calls Cas to come down and explain to him what he saw with Dean.
"Sam, Dean has been dying slowly from the Mark of Cain. Anyone who recieves the Mark of Cain has only a certain amount of time before the mark blows up your cells, causing you to bleed from your eyes, nose, and mouth." Cas says.
Cas tells Sam not to worry, and to stay the night at a hotel while he talks to Dean. So Sam packs a bag and leaves for the night. Cas begins to wander into Deans room and sits on his bed, waiting for Dean to get out of the shower.
"Cas! what the hell!" Dean yells, dropping his clothes onto the floor, and grabbing his towel that almost fell off of his waist.
Cas walks up to Dean and looks him in the eyes. Dean looks back quietly and just stares at Cas's ocean blue eyes. Cas grabs deans face and pulls him into a tight kiss, wraping their arms around each other, and locking their lips. Cas pulls Dean onto the bed and pulls Dean ontop of him. Cas begins to run his fingers through Deans hair and kisses his forehead repeatedly.
"Dean, the mark is killing you. So lets spend tonight together, just incase you can't find Abadon by next week. I love you." Cas says, holding Deans hands, and rocking Dean to sleep through his pain.
