She was alive. Taylor woke up, went to work, bought groceries, pet her cat, and went about the rest of her daily life. Thus, she was alive.
But she never lived.
She sat inside, ignoring most of her phone calls, never listening to songs that she used to dance around in her PJs to, and refused to let herself fall in love. She felt like her system of building up walls was perfectly fine, and that's exactly what she did.
She never turned on the television, because she didn't care what was going on in the world. So she usually sat alone in her New York City apartment, and shut out the world.
But there was one flaw in her system; she fell in love anyway.
