Hanging out With Friends

Veronica, Betty, and Kevin stood under the large oak in front of the school waiting for two certain boys. They were just about to leave when the two people who they were waiting for sprinted down the stairs. Jughead secured the beanie on his head with his hand so it wouldn't fly off while Achie ran to their friends.

"Oh my god guys! Where the hell were you?" Veronica yelled at the pair.

"We had to get some help..." Archie started to make excuses.

"Look we all know you were making out in the bathroom. No need to deny it." Kevin said matter of factly. Then the five started walking away.  Archie and Jughead holding hands all the way to the ice cream parlor.

Archie and Jughead sat on one side of the both. While Betty and Veronica sat on the other. Kevin pulled up a chair to the end so that they could all see each other. They were waiting to get their ice cream when Reggie walked in with his friends. 

Jughead obviously slumped in his seat trying to be invisible. However the people at his table noticed this, and were quickly sent into panic mode. If Reggie even said one word to him Archie would make sure he didn't have any teeth to talk with.

The waitress came over to take their orders. 

"Hello how may I help you today." She said with a smile on her face.

"We'll have a Oreo sundae with whipped cream and a cherry." Betty said graciously ordering soothing for both her and Veronica.

"I'll take a small hot fudge sundae with extra nuts." Kevin ordered and the two girls giggled at the last part of his order.

"How bout you hot stuff?" The woman smirked at Archie making him slightly uncomfortable because his boyfriend was now invisible thanks to the table.

"I'll have a medium brownie sundae with chocolate ice cream." Archie ordered knowing Jughead wouldn't order for himself thanks to the group of guys across the restaurant.

"Alright coming right up!" She said smiling to Archie as she walked away.

"Juggie please out from under the table. We'll protect you I promise."  Betty cooed trying to get him to talk seeing as this was a group outing, and when 1/5th of the group is under the table it's not really a group chat. 

"No he'll see me and come over here to beat me up. I already get enough of that at school I don't need that anywhere or anytime else!" Jughead said.

Archie dragged him into the booth as the ice cream came out. Seeing that their ice cream only had one spoon Archie asked for another. 

"See Jughead. Nothing's happened." Archie said hugging him.

"Yet." Jug mumbled into his chest.

The girl came back as Archie placed a kiss on Jughead's forehead. She set the spoon down, scoffed, and stomped away. Kevin smirked at this.

Everyone dug into their sundaes, and all around enjoyed talking to each other. They laughed at each other and when the waitress came back she had to at least attempt to flirt. After she left everyone at the table burst out laughing. They paid the bill and got up to leave forgetting that the jocks were sitting at the table near the doors. As they passed the jerks they could hear something that made them blow up inside.

"Look there's Donnie Darko! Too bad Archie was put under his dork spell!" Reggie laughed at his own joke. Soon after everyone else joined in. Archie's hands visibly clenched into fists. Jughead tried holding his hand, but he pulled out of his grip. The comments about Jughead followed them outside. There Archie took a swing at Reggie. 

He easily dodged and it turned to a full on fight. Punches were thrown. Some hit a lot missed. That was until Jughead tried to intervene. He stepped in mid swing at Reggie. Which ended in him getting a hard punch in the face, and him laying with a broken nose on the ground. Archie quickly fell to the ground next to him.

Reggie ran inside so he wouldn't get in trouble. Veronica went up to Archie and slapped him.

"Why would you do that!?!?" Veronica screamed at him.

"I don't know exactly. Something inside me broke when I saw Juggie upset." Archie whispered cradling his boyfriends head in his lap.

"I think he needs to go to a hospital!" Betty yelled getting in her car to start it so we could go. We all filed in after her while Kevin got in his own car. 

"Archie what the hell?" Jughead said his voice raspy.

"I'm sorry, babe." Archie confessed.

"S'll right" Jughead's words were muffled as he lightly snuggled into Archie as he carried him to the car. 

"Love you!" Archie said kissing his forehead.

"As you should I'm a goddamned miracle!" Jughead smiled.
