Jughead climbed the latter so he could put up the decorations. He threw streamer all over the place. It would be a miracle if nobody slipped.

It looked as if a child had thrown up party supplies and nobody bothered to clean it up. Jughead was a good writer. Not a good party planner. Everything had been set up perfectly. Betty was distracting Archie while he got the party ready.

Now thinking about it he should've probably called V. Too bad she was in New Mexico having a ball. Figuratively and literally. More of a gala than a ball.

Archie's party was going to be better and Veronica knew that. She asked her mom if she could the car home. Obviously she said no. It was worth a shot though.

He continued to set things up. He set the table so the paper plates and cups lined up perfectly. He may or may not have had a ruler. Even though Archie would never know. He would, and probably Betty cause she was a neat freak too.

He ran upstairs to get the big box out of Mr. Andrews room. He couldn't wait to see the look on Archie's face when he opened this. It was sure to blow him away.

He took the small box Betty had gotten for him and set it on the table. Lastly in the desk drawer was Veronica's present. A simple blue box with a baby blue ribbon. She told him it was going to change his life.

Setting the three boxes on the table and went to the couch figuring he had about an hour. Thank was until a loud knock came form the door. He practically jumped out of his skin. He stalked over to the door to see Kevin and Joaquin. He let them in. They walked over to the present table and sent two cards down.

Then they walked over to the couch once again and sat down. Jughead let go of a breath he didn't know he'd been holding in. Everything is going to be perfect. Everything will be great.

Closing his eyes for just a second. That second turned into an hour. Then a loud knock came from the door.

Eyes shooting open he ran to the door. Quickly unlocking it to see Betty holding a lot of bags in her hand hands and Archie by the car answering a call. Betty walked inside and set the bags by the stairs.

Then they all got into ideal suprise position. When the flaming red hair finally stepped though the door. They all stood up and yelled surprise. Archie was scared for a moment when he realized who everyone was.

A huge smile appeared on Archie's face as Jughead threw his arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around Jugheads torso, and picked him up. The spinning made them both dizzy, but it was well worth it.

The night was coming to a close and everyone was leaving. Filled with cake, ice cream, and a few Jell-O shots.

One thing that was long forgotten was the presents on the table. They were left untouched. Betty and Jughead were the only ones left. Archie walked over to the table with the beautifully wrapped gifts.

He torn open the midnight purple card. In it contained a cheesy card signed by Kevin. Then the black card was opened soon after that. Revealing a small gift card for Starbucks with a tiny piece of paper that read basic.

Next was the blue box with the baby blue ribbon. He unraveled the bow on top tearing the paper in the process. Inside was a box of guitar picks. Each reading different things. Some said A+J. Others B+V. His personal favorite was a simple one with the best picture of Jughead. That day he forgot his sweatshirt, so he put on Archie's.

Next the small box was a little scrapbook. It seemed almost sad. They were seniors, and they were graduating. The inside was filled with pictures of everyone. Some of Archie and Betty, and others of Veronica and Kevin. They were all there.

Then the last picture was everyone. Kevin and Joaquin were kissing on the left. Betty and Veronica were kissing in the middle. With Jughead and Archie on the end locking lips. This was almost to say goodbye, but not yet.

Then the large box was last. The dark green wrapping glittering in the lousy lighting of the living room. Quickly tearing into the paper surrounding the present. He opened it onally to find a lot of tissue paper.

Then after a good minute of searching he pulled out another box. He tore it open, and inside was a memento from each of their dates. The first thing was the napkin Archie scribbled his number on. Then a ticket to the horror movies they went to see. The tickets to the football game they went to on their fifth date.

There was a lot more, but something stood out. There was a marble cover book. It was beautifully beaten and worn. He would recognize this book anywhere. It was the one Jughead would always write in from fourth to seventh grade.

It held secrets he didn't want anyone to know. Something even Archie wasn't aloud to look at, and now he was just giving it to him.

Opening it courteously. The pages were filled to the brim with sketches, stories, and diary entries. The words were written beautifully almost as if a poet had written them, but a poet hadn't written them. Jughead did and that made it even more special.
