Alex's POV

The closer we got to Demi's house the more nervous I got. There were about five extra cars in the driveway and I didn't know who was here. I was mostly nervous about how everyone was going to react to Demi adopting me. I mean I'm a piece of shit so all of them are going to hate the idea.

We got up to the front door and Demi stopped me.

"No matter what anyone says I just want you to know that this wasn't a mistake to me" she said to me

"Ok, I love you Demi" I said nervously

"I love you too baby girl" she said kissing my head. Then she opened the door.

We walked in to see Taylor, Madison, Nick, Simon, Paulina, Kelly, and Fifth Harmony sitting in Demi's living room.

"Um, hey guyss" Demi said awkwardly.

"Hey" a few people called back.

A few minutes later The door opened.

"AHHHH!" you heard Demi scream. She got up and ran over to the door where her mom was standing.

Everyone came over to talk about the xfactor since the season was ending soon. While everyone was talking I just sat there in the corner.

"Hey" I heard someone say. I looked up and saw Madison standing next to me.

"Uh hi" I said back shyly

"What are you doing?" she asked

"Good, what about you?" I asked back

"I'm doing g-" she started to answer then got interrupted by Demi.

"Alex can you come over here?" Demi asked

"Yeah be right there" I said. I was nervous because I think she was going tell everyone about the adoption now.

I got up and walked over to her. I stood next to her and she grabbed me hand.

"Ok everyone I have something to say" Demi yelled getting everyone's attention

"Well this is Alex and she's a new friend but we've gotten really close lately." She said

"And...?" Simon said back. Damn he really can be a bitch.

Demi took and deep breath

"And she's my new daughter" Demi said in a nervous tone

"WHAT" the whole room yelled

"I adopted Alex. Today. Like a hour ago." She said

"Why didn't you tell me?" Demi's mom said

"Because I didn't know I was going to be adopting someone until earlier today" She said.

Shit. People are going to tell her she made a big mistake.

"Oh well congratulations" a few people said

I just stood there watching everyone because I had no idea what to say.

About two minutes after she told everyone Demi mom came over to us.

"Hey Demi, can I talk to you?" she asked.

Man I hope she try's not to tell Demi this was a huge mistake. Even though it was I hope she doesn't.

But she said that I could trust her.

And I trust Demi with my life
