Pale sunlight burned over the horizon.
It had been weeks since Frisk freed the monsters.

The boy sat down, alone.
He had many regrets. More than he would have ever thought of.
But his main mistake was leaving her behind.

During his adventures, Frisk had encountered a phantom.
This phantom was a ghostly creature with crimson eyes, and pale skin. The young girl who haunted the very ruins Frisk had tumbled into for about a hundred years
'Chara.'

Through his adventure, there was times when he was alone. Where Frisk felt hopeless and lonely.
But Chara never left his side. Even if it was by cracking a joke at the worst times, or countering his feelings with snarky humor, Chara managed to make Frisk feel hopeful.

She sympathized with him in the darkest times, and remained a sarcastic smartass in the lighter times.
Hell, Frisk even took a photo with Chara. Even if her half of the photo came out distorted, there was a faint smile that could hardly be made out.

But when it came down to it,
Chara left him in the end. No matter how much it seemed that she would stay, Chara didn't have the heart to leave her home.

No words were spoken, but the look in her eyes as she gazed at Frisk one last time, before walking back into the Underground..
It made him feel awful.
Because in the end, Frisk had to walk away knowing there were still suffering souls inside of the mountain kingdom.

Now, Frisk was having trouble getting the girl out of his head, but he felt like if he dismissed it all, he would just forget one day.
But he didn't want to forget her.
So he made no effort to be rid of these thoughts.
Instead, the familiar scent of golden flowers, her short, messy chestnut hair, her sweet voice, her lightly freckled cheeks, her sarcastic humor and bright smile that he rarely ever saw.

Frisk wanted to see it all again.
Frisk wanted to see her again.

The morning was dim at this time. Clouds rolled over the hills, and the air was bleak and still.

Frisk pulled himself out of the bed, and dressed himself in a dark blue t-shirt and jeans, sliding on his sneakers and putting on a gray jacket.
The sun wasn't even up, yet. The sky was gray, and yellow light peaked from behind the mountains.

He left his room and walked downstairs, leaving the house silently.
Frisk checked his watch,
6:34 in the morning, October 7th, Autumn.

Frisk walked up the familiar stone path, before being faced by a fence.
He climbed this fence too many times to let it stand in his way.

Frisk climbed up the chain link barrier before hopping over, landing on his feet. The grass crunched beneath his weight,
He continued onwards, up the rocky mountain by the trail that had been carved by the many travelers in the past.

Soon, he reached the overlook he remembered so well.
Frisk looked outwards, observing the view of the night disappearing, the faint stars and moon retreating into the horizon.

"What are you doing here?"

Frisk turned around, only to be greeted by the cold stare of the crimson eyed demon that stood before him.
Her voice was hollow, as if it wasn't even spoken, and instead it was messaged through telepathy.
There was no difference to her.
She was still small, her hair was messy and short, she looked tired..
"I came to see you. What are you doing here?" Frisk asked, quite frankly, he was curious if she ever made it back to her burial site back at the summit.
