Dear Emilia,
I've taken out the soldiers, but I was injured in the process. It's just a stab to the shoulder, I should be fine. I found bandages and rapped myself up. This camp is small, but resourceful. It has plenty of food to survive for a while, water to drink, a few guns, and a little bit of ammo. But the best find of all, they're battle plans. I read that apparently they are planning a huge attack on Verdun, Set for February 21st of this year. That's in 6 days. This is a groundbreaking plan. I have enough supplies to hopefully make it back to home base with the plans. I'm going to camp,out here until morning. I'm praying that no Germans find me here, or I'll be dead. I hope you are living well.

February 16th, 5 more days till the Battle Of Verdun.
Dear Emilia,
I've eaten and prepared for the long road back. My arm is feeling much better. Still sore, but better. I hear distant explosions, there is a battle going on somewhere. I'm slightly scared to start walking in this area, but what other choice do I have? Sit here until Germans find me and take me prisoner, or worse? No. I have to start moving before this great battle happens. I've had a couple close calls already. 3 tanks have passed by me, 5 planes have flown over me, and 4 troop transport trucks have drove past me. Something is definitely going on somewhere off far in the countryside. I'm going to focus more on the task at hand now.
