the soft sounds of jack's breathing fill your ears as you walk into his old bedroom, to see him sleeping peacefully.

you smile to yourself, admiring him.

he just looks so cute.

his hair all over, lips slightly parted, and his arms tightly hugging what was your pillow that you had slept on.

you quietly make your way over to jack.

you sit down on the bed next to him, and put your hand on his cheek, lightly caressing it with your thumb.

"jack, baby," you say.

he groans, turning over.

"baby," you try again.

"no," he replies in his adorable morning voice.

"come on," you argue, and lean your head down to kiss his cheek. "remember what today is?"

he smiles slightly and nods.

"i graduate today," he says proudly.

"that's right," you smile.

hours have passed, and now you and jack's family are waiting for the ceremony to start.

finally, everyone is seated, and eventually the ceremony starts.

names are called, then finally, jack's name.

he gets his diploma, and his family and you cheer loudly.

he looks at you and smiles widely, and you return it.

the ceremony ends, and we all eventually exit the room, walking outside.

you wait for jack to come out, and he finally does.

his family hugs him, and you let them have their moment together.

when they finish, jack comes over to you, and you smile at him.

you wrap your arms around him, jumping up to wrap your legs around his waist.

"i'm so proud of you baby," you say, your head buried in the crook of his neck.

"thank you for being by my side through it all. i love you, y/n," jack replies.

"i love you too, jack."
