"jake! jake!" you screamed.

"y/n!" jake screamed back.

then everything went black.

and that's all you remember.

jake's pov

it's been three days.

three days since y/n was brought to the hospital.

i haven't slept.

i haven't eaten.

i haven't gone home.

all i can do right now is pray that she will wake up.

i pace back and forth in the waiting area of the hospital, waiting for any news.

marcus's pov

we are all currently at the hospital with jake.

he can't sit still, he just keeps pacing back and forth.

we aren't allowed to go see y/n right now.

i pull my phone out, and put everyone but jake and in a group chat.

do you think jake will be okay?

i don't know bro

lucas
same. all he's done is pace back and forth

tessa 
i caught him crying when i went to the bathroom yesterday

what?

tessa
yeah. i walked down the hall to go the the bathroom. i was about to turn the corner, but i heard crying so i stopped. i peeked my head around the corner, and saw jake sitting on the ground, his back to the wall, just crying. all alone.

we all stop texting, and go back to waiting.

tristan gets up, and leaves the room.

he comes back with bottles of water for everyone.

he hands us all one, then walks over to jake.

"jae, you should drink this," tristan says, holding out the bottle.

jake takes the water from tristan.

"thanks," he mumbles.

tristan sits back down, and jake continues pacing.

a few minutes pass, and jake walks away, going down a hallway.

i look at everyone.

after what tessa said, we all know what he's doing.

an hour passes, and jake comes back, eyes red, and face tear stained.

but he tries to hide it.

a doctor comes out, a clipboard in hand.

jake looks up at him hopeful, as do the rest of us.

other people in the waiting room look up as well.

"y/n y/l/n?" the doctor says.
