"hey! why do you want to do today?" you say to your boyfriend through the phone.

"whatever you want to do," he replies.

"lunch date?" you ask.

"sounds good. meet at the diner in twenty?"

you grab my bag and wallet that's sitting in the counter.

"hey guys?" you start, walking into the living room. "i'm going out with y/bf/n. i'll be back in a few hours. see you guys later!"

"bye, y/n!" zach replies, as well as the others, except for daniel.

you dismiss it, and walk out your car.

you drive to the diner, to meet y/bf/n.

daniel's pov

"i'm going out with h/bf/n. i'll be back in a few hours," she says

i don't reply to her, i just sit and stare at the ground.

she leaves, and the boys turn to me.

"i'm sorry bro," jonah says.

"yeah, we know how much you love her," corbyn says.

"yeah, i do love her. but what can i do about it? we all know for a fact that she is in love with him, there's nothing i can do to change that. as much as i want to, i'm not going to because i never want to hurt her," i reply.

"i'm sorry," jack says.

"were just friends," i say, sighing.

and that's all i'll ever be to her.
