(Hiatus) Where is my freak? [ L X Reader ]

Chapter 1

A/n: Okay I promised to post in September, so I plan to stay true to my words. Here is the second book. Hope you enjoy.

As soon as we entered the weary doors of the HQ. Everything seemed different. The piles of old cake plates were still stood there, stacked in a neat pile. The papers the Task force were still working through. Most of the computers turned off, except one: Matsuda. My bare feet padded on the cold floor as I turned it off. After everything was back in order, like how it never is.

Change is good.

Especially now.

All I want is sleep. So I trailed up the stairs, like done hundreds of times before. Sauntering down the hallway till I get to my wooden door, wide open. Most likely from when L or someone found I was missing. I trudged to my messy bed and fell inside the covers. Fatigue swept over me, as my eyes closed. Head smothered in a pillow. Soon darkness fell upon me, and hours flew by.

[Time skip]

Soon my eyes opened. The blinding sunlight drifting in from the opened curtains. After staring outside for a few minutes. Clouds cast over the sky, blocking the calming blue sky and the golden sun, with dark, almost blackened clouds covering all of the sky from my viewpoint. So I headed out of my room, down the stairs to see a door which lead to the balcony wide open. As I wander through the hall. I saw L stood there, in the rain. It pounding on his gentle face. What I first thought was rain swirled down his cheeks...rain does not fall like that.

Is he crying?

L was crying. His head tilted up towards the cloudy sky, arms hung by his side. His hands brushing against his baggy blue jeans. Here he was. But why was he crying?

As I was about to step forward, comfort him. It made my stomach flip just seeing him so upset. To see him so sad, it was like my world was crashing down. Meteor upon meteor colliding inside my stomach. But as fast as I could take on step.
There was light. Light Yagami. He was Kira. I'm sure of it. He is there, with Lawliet. Him crying. It looked like Light was comforting him. Light looked at me, saw me staring with a pained expression, almost fearful for L's life. He seemed to find it amusing. A laugh almost came tumbling out of his mouth, but held it in with a cough. His eyes expressed his insanity.
This boy. This man, thought he could do no wrong. If it is L's turn...I'm next.

I didn't care for myself. I just want L to be okay. For this justice figure to stay in this world. For him to keep on being a role model to the boys at Whammy.

Soon, they turned around and headed inside. I walked along the hallway to enter the Investigation room door. A sinking feeling flooded within me. As soon as the large doors closed, I trudged over the furthest corner of the room, where a cosy sofa laid, falling down onto the soft fabric. I laud there. Sleep taking over me...Darkness spreading through me, through my mind.

I can't sleep.

I have to stop Light.

Kira.

Whoever he is.

He. His plans. Must be stopped, this can't be the end of L. Of His career. Of Ryuzaki. Of my Darling Lawliet.

[Time skip]

My eyes opened again. Revealing the dim light. Over in the corner all the Task Force crowded over the monitor on the wall. I looked up.

Watari...

Watari...

He can't.

He can't be D-d

Tears streamed down my face.

L looked back at me, with the same look.

A look of pain swam over his saddened face. The spoon he was holding...

Dropped.

The sound of metal clanging spread all around the silent room.

Time passed slowly.

L's feet gave way.

He feel forwards. I ran towards him, only for Light to catch him first. I chucked him off L.

"L..."

"L...I-I-I"

His eyes became heavy, before they closed, he said,
"I love you."

My tears hit his face. Swirling and turning along his pale skin.

When his eyes closed, I clung onto his body. Screaming.

He- He-

Watari...

Lawliet...

BB...

All gone.

Light will pay.

He will pay for what he has done.

I swear to you, Lawlipop. I will evenge you.

His motionless body was still in my arms. I looked up at Light. Here he was

Sneering.

HOW DARE HE!

I flung myself at him, punching his face. The Task Force tried to pull me away.

With each punch I though.

Why?

Justice shouldn't be a risk factor for your life. Yet so many good people died because they weren't sided with Kira.

Near, I promiced the day would come.
