ㅡoutro.
It has the happiest sunrise
and the most beautiful sunset.
Had I known that the next sunrise
will bring the consequence
of being too happy,
I would prevent myself
from smiling too much."Joon," The youngest walks up on Namjoon's room and slouches onhis studio's sofa. "Up for a drink?"
"Shut up, Jeon. His beer belly is slowly developing." Suga yawned. "It's past three a.m., I think we need to sleep." He looked towards the absent minded boy who can't stop pinching both of his fingers.
"Namjoon." He called again.
"Oh, sorry. What's up? Where part are we?" He scratched his head.
"I said we need to sleep."
"Let's work on this first. I think Jimin can reach the high notes on this part, can he?" Namjoon grabbed his pencil to encircle the part of the song that wasn't recorded yet.
Jungkook stood up and looked at the piece of paper. "Oh, this is the song Hiseul was supposed to sing, right?"
Everyone fell silent with the sudden mention of the name. Suga glared at him. Jungkook mouthed a sorry. It was too late, because Namjoon is on his own world again.
"Funny how a name could get you like that, when you can't even pretend to focus at one damned song that's only one step to finish for three years." Suga stood up angrily and grabbed his jacket. He tapped Namjoon's shoulders almost angrily.
"This is extremely lame for someone like you. Square up, man. This is reality. Face it or jump off the building, you choose." And finally went out of theroom, yawning.
After Suga left, Jungkook shrugged. "Well, five bottles of soju won't kill a leader."
He reached for his phone and called for a delivery."Hey it's me." Jungkook laughed. "Yes, you know the drill, young delivery girl."
Three years and thirty two days. Yes, Namjoon has been counting everyday.
"To be honest," Jungkook stuttered. "I am soooo insecure at you. Like, until now."
"Yes, envy an old man who is still love sick of his past lover even after three years of break up. Live your shitty life like that." Namjoon nonchalantly said while clutching at the tip ofhis drink.
"Hmm. Whatever." Jungkook released a burp but still continued."I just wish I can love Hiseul as long and as intense as that."He pouted. "I'm a messed up boy who has gold but replaced itwith temporary silvers."
"I don't think we can ever make up if you love her like this, though."
"Sike, you right."
Comforting silence enveloped throughout the room. Jungkook knows how to handle this. He's the one who was beside Namjoon since
the day she left.Namjoon reached for the box that Hiseul gave her as a farewell gift. He gently brushed the dust at the old thing and smiled.
"Open it, I want to see." Drunk Jungkook said. Namjoon complied. This is like his source of energy. It can either make him so motivated to write a song or make him feel like jumping of the building. The feels depend on the mood.As he opens it, he sees the familiar small note.
