Derrick's POV
"I GOT IT!" I shouted and both men huddled around me. I went over to my table and took out a map from the drawer, pushing everything off the table and spread the map over it. "Guys think. Where would you kidnap someone and take them?" I asked both of the and got no answer. I rolled my eyes and said, "well he did say that there is nothing but green right?" "Right" they said together. "Well he has her in a forest." "A forest" William repeated after me and I just shook my head. "Yea but where?" Toby asked. "Well over all there are 5 different forests' around us but only 3 are near distance. This, this aaaand this" I said and they looked at me and nodded. So I went on. "The poem also said to look deep within the green that there's a house made of stone walls and that everything is still and quiet"
"Yea but I still don't get it. Which one are they?" Toby asked again. "Well 2 of the forests near us are being used for construction" William said pointing at the map. "But I don't know which two"
"This and thi- I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!" I yelled and they look up at me in shock. "Years ago my dad was hardly in the picture so Mateo's dad would always spend quality time with me." "Where are you going with this?" William asked folding his arm over his chest. "Well every holiday since my dad and mom got a devorce he would take Mateo and I to a forest...umm what's it called again... Yes! Forest silence. He built a house there, pretty good size for a family of 10 or so. Its just out of town and it probably won't take long to get there. Maybe 2-3 hours or so" I said feeling like I just accomplished something and I did. "So what are we waiting for let's ready the van and go get her" William said with shining eyes. "Maybe we should leave tomorrow early in the morning" I said looking at my watch. "What if she's dead by then?" he asked, a tear rolling down his cheek. "She won't be trust me. I know Rhonda and she's a survivor" I said patting his back and he nodded. "Well then let's get some sleep and get ready to move out tomorrow" William said and I agreed. Toby got up and went over to the door opening it. "Where're you goin'?" I asked him as it seemed like he was in an hurry. "I...ah...I'm going somewhere but I'll be back by morning" he stuttered. "Okay" I said and he was out the door in on time.
