The past comes running back

         Derrick's POV
William, Rhonda and I were tied side by side in Mateo's room listening to he and Kelly babble about what they were going to do to us. Mateo then walked out and Kelly sat on a chair before us.
"Well all I had to do was make it look like Mateo couldn't give you the money and then everything after that fell into place perfectly" she said smiling, looking in William's direction. "But what did we ever do to you?" I asked still not getting anywhere with this. "Baby the knives are sharp enough now" Mateo said walking in and kissing her on the cheek. "Okay I'll be downstairs soon" she replied and he walked out. "But Wendy...I...I killed her" Rhonda said. "I know funny right" she said laughing. "Everything I told you I made up and the only reason Wendy came here is because I told her that Mateo killed you, Rhonda, her best and only friend" then there was a short pause "and you killed her" she said between laughs. "But what did we do to you?" William asked the same question I asked not too long ago. "Well....." she trailed off.

"Well..." she trailed off looking at the ceiling. I remember when I was in high school. I had a boyfriend-" "what does this have to do with anything?" William cut her off. She got up and slapped him across his cheek. "You're going to listen and you're going to listen carefully you hear me" she threatened holding a knife at his throat. "Okay where was I.... Uh yes! I had a boyfriend and I was in love. I was just 16 when it happened.... Do you remember William?" she asked turning to William. "Remember what?" he asked her not following. "You took me out on a date at midnight to the spring deep within the woods. YOU William had sex with me and, no no no wait.... You took my virginity and videoed it and played it for the whole entire school the next morning and that wasn't even the worst part. YOU BROKE UP WITH ME IN FRONT OF EVERYONE!" she shouted the last part. "No that's not right. The girl I slept with was-" "Kellissa Burke yea I know" she finished for him. "And you're going to pay". "Kelly!" Mateo shouted from downstairs. "I'll be back" she spat and walked out closing the door behind her. "You left her?" Derrick asked. "I was young and dumb" William fought back. "No William. 12 and 13 are young and dumb not fucking sixteen" I said and we were all silent after that.
