"So, what am I supposed to do now? Hide from everyone?" Mike asked Jonathan. "Pretty much." Jonathan replied. "You know how most trainers are. They'll go for ANYTHING. Especially a Pikachu." Mike stared at the park. He hadn't been here in a while. He wondered if anyone else had his problem...
"Ugh, I can't tell my parents. They'll freak out when they see a talking Pokémon who they will probably think got rid of Oliver." Oliver said to himself. "So, I'm basically stuck in my bedroom forever." He looked at the window. "Or maybe...hm..."
2 years earlier...
Sarah had finally gotten out of that cave. "WHAT?! SHE GOT OUT?!" Sarah heard Jeremiah yell. "Okay...everybody, GET THAT SNIVY!!" He said on the radio. Sarah couldn't be caught now. Especially not by his former friend and partner. Now her goal was this: Get to the city and avoid Jeremiah and his men. She ran through the jungle, easily avoiding low hanging plants. One of Jeremiah's men picked her up and she groaned. "I got you now, you little--" He began before Sarah managed to use Mega Drain on him and made him drop to the ground, now weak. Sarah kept running. "I can learn moves...yes!" Sarah said to herself, while still running.
"What happened, you idiot?" Jeremiah asked the guy lying on the ground. "She...Drain...Mega Drain..." He said. "Oh, god, you're useless." Jeremiah sighed, kicking the man to the side. "I have you 4 guys left. DON'T fail me like this idiot." Jeremiah took a water stone from his pocket. "Be happy as a Magikarp, failure." He threw the stone onto the weak man and left.
Sarah had secretly watched as the man slowly turned into a Magikarp. "Noo...noo!" He weakly screamed, but it wasn't too loud. Sarah quietly walked away from the man. "If that's the cave...then the city is...this way!" Sarah said, and was now heading back home.
Back to present!
At the park, Mike quietly hid behind Jonathan. "What do I do?" Mike asked. "Um...go out and play with other Pokémon, maybe? I don't come out here often..." Jonathan replied. Mike saw an Umbreon look at him. Then, the Umbreon quickly ran off. "Why'd that Umbreon run off? Also, how is an Umbreon there by himself?" Samuel asked. "Yeah...an Umbreon doesn't evolve by itself. It needs a trainer to evolve." Jonathan said. "And no trainers around care about it." "Can human Pokémon evolve?" Mike asked. "I'm not sure. Maybe?" Jonathan replied. "Should we go home?" Samuel asked. Mike and Jonathan said yes. "Okay, let's go." Samuel said, getting up.
"It was that Pikachu I saw a couple hours ago I passed by!" Oliver said, talking to himself from behind a building. "I know it was. I need to tell him that I was turned into a Pokémon...but how? It would be awkward to tell him straight in his face." Oliver got an idea. "Well, now to put it in action."
"Who are you?" Mike asked on the phone. "Not here. Come behind the Quick-N-Go convenience store." A voice said. "Um...okay..." Mike said. He hung up. "Who was it?" Samuel asked. "Some guy. He wants me to meet him behind the convenience store." Mike replied. "Um...we'll come with you. We'll be around the side of the building." Jonathan said. "Okay." Mike said. "Let's do this."
"Hel--" Mike began, before he saw the Umbreon from earlier. "Okay, who are you?" Mike asked him. "My name is Oliver. A necklace turned me into an Umbreon." Oliver said. Mike seemed surprised. "I thought I was the only one besides that whole class full of students..." Mike said, in a sort of jokingly way. "Do you know where they went, by the way?" "Oh, the kids? No, no I don't." Oliver replied.
Later that day, Mike invited Oliver home to talk about what had happened. Jonathan and Samuel were downstairs, doing what they normally did. Samuel turned on the news. "...reported many packages appearing on their doorsteps across the city. Even I have got one, see?" The news reporter showed the package to the camera. "And now, I'll do an unboxing of it..." The reporter opened up the box to find an orb. It exploded, making the camera fall. The cameraman rushed to pick it up, and once he did, he screamed and dropped it onto the counter. The reporter screamed shortly before the camera cut off to an intermission. "The news isn't looking so lively today..." Samuel sighed. He switched to a cartoon channel, but that was offline at that time. Samuel accidentally slipped onto the floor. "AUGH! Ugh, there's nothing to do..." He said, getting up off of the floor.
As soon as he heard the doorbell ring, he bolted to the door and even slammed into it, hitting the ground. "Samuel, do you have a bloody nose again?" Jonathan asked. "No...I'm fine...ow..." Samuel said, getting up once again. He opened the door to see a plain cardboard box addressed to him. "Aw cool, a reward! Wait, for what? Ah, it doesn't matter! I must be so good I won a contest before I entered it!" Samuel said, slamming the box on the kitchen table. He opened it to see an orange bracelet. "I'm...going to take this beauty to my room!" Samuel said excitedly as he head upstairs and slammed the door shut. At that moment, Mike and Oliver came downstairs. "Who put that open cardboard box there?" Oliver asked. "Wait, this box...is the exact one I opened...or the exact size and shape, at least." "It's addressed to Samuel..." Jonathan said. Mike and Oliver hurried back upstairs only to find that Samuel locked his room. "SAMUEL!!" Oliver banged on the door.
"SHUT UP, GUYS!! I'M PUTTING THIS DECORATION ON!!" Samuel said. He slid it onto his wrist. "Now, time to watch a good movie." Samuel said, lying on his bed. Before he could grab anything, though, he felt pain in his hand. Samuel felt himself grow about a foot or two. "What the--" He mumbled to himself. He watched as his clothes ripped off. "AH!" He yelled. He saw both his toes and fingers merge into 3 on each hand and foot, and after that, he fell onto the ground and groaned as he hit the floor.
"Hey, whatever you're doing, stop it, Samuel!" Jonathan groaned. "Why does he always have to be so loud up there?"
His hands and arms turned orange with black stripes at some spots. His ears moved slightly up his head and he saw his face become a muzzle. A tan-ish tail popped out from his back, and it was extremely bushy. More hair come out behind his arms and legs, and his hair grew into a beard and connected to his normal hair, and it all changed to the same color as the tail and other hair, which he now realized was fur. The fur spread down his body, and his transformation finally completed. He kept falling down onto the floor as he tried to regain balance. Eventually, he finally managed to do it.
"Samuel? You okay in there?" Mike quietly asked. "I'm okay...don't come in..." Samuel groaned. "Seriously, don't. I'm fine." "But, we heard you screaming and yelling a lot..." Mike said. "Don't. Come. In." Samuel said. "Okay...fine..." Mike said, walking back to his room across the hall. "Can you...help me in, please, Oliver?" Mike asked. Oliver opened the door for him to get in. "Thanks." Mike said. Oliver walked away and went back home.

"Civilization!" Sarah cried out as she was so happy to see home again. "Haha, you thought you could get away from us, Sarah?" Jeremiah asked. "Uhh...yes?" Sarah said. "Wow. You're really stupid." Jeremiah said. "I am--" "No, I mean, REALLY stupid. You can never escape Team Missile!" Jeremiah said, revealing a Team Missile shirt. "That sounds like a rip-off of Team Rocket. You guys suck, you know that?" Sarah said, walking away. "But you...AGH! FINE! WE'LL GET SOMEONE ELSE EVENTUALLY!! YOU'LL SEE!" Jeremiah yelled to her. "Eventually...you little idiot Snivy." Jeremiah moaned. "You've all failed me, you morons. Take these. They turn you into the best Pokémon." Jeremiah handed all 4 of them the "rigged" water stones. They quickly realized this. "What are you--AGH!!" One man yelled. The four men all fell to the ground. "Good luck." Jeremiah said, walking towards the base back in the jungle.
"Ma'am, our subject got away." Jeremiah told his boss. "Mhm. I don't like people that fail me, Jeremiah. You know that." The boss said. "I know, ma'am. We'll get another sub--" "No, Jeremiah. Give it a couple years. We have a project that will have more subjects. Give it a couple years." "Okay, sir." Jeremiah walked off, back to his house in the city. "I wonder what the project is..." Jeremiah thought out loud. "I know that I won't disappoint her next time, though. I can do this."
