Jealousy [Niall Horan Fanfiction]

Chapter Nine

When i walk in to the lunch room all of the tables is taken. I took a tray with potatoes and meatballs and tried to find a place.

"Brook!"I turn around and see Luke sitting with his friends. I walk towards them and sit next to Luke.

"Hey." He says and hugs me. I hug him back and looks at his friends.

"This is Michael, Calum and Ashton." Luke introduces me to his friends.

"Sup." The one who says with the headband. "I'm Ashton." He winks at me and takes a bite from his potato.

"Hey." I smile and turns to my food.

"So, you guys are dating?" Someone's asking that makes me choke on my meatball and drop my fork.

"What?" I cough and look at Michael who asked it.

"Yeah,Luke texted me yesterday about hanging out with you?" He says like a question and looks at Luke who tries to ignore the conversation.

"Luke?" I ask and tries to get his attention. He looks up from his food and clears his throat before speaking.

"Um.. yeah,  i just texted him that.. but.."

"It was just our first date..." I say and starts to eat again. "It's nothing like that.."

Luke's cheeks flushes and starts eating again.

"Oh.." Michael says. "Well, um.. i have to go now.. guys?" He asks Ashton and Calum. They nod and takes their trays before leaving.

When they leave Luke turns to me and swallows his food.

"I'm sorry for telling the boys that we were kind of.. dating." He smiles awkwardly.

"It's okay." I say and smile.

It gets quiet for a while before Luke speaks again.

"I can maybe take you out for a movie tonight or something?" He asks and bites his lip piercing. Gosh, he looks so cute when he does that.

"Y-yeah.. sure." I stutter.

"Good, i mean yeah.. um.. see you later." He says and stands up.

"Bye." I say before he leaves.

Niall's P.O.V ~

When i was about to eat my potato i see Brook come in to the room. That makes me stop eating and all my attention turns to her. She's so beautiful.

She looks around to look after a seat, i was about to stand up and tell her to come,but then she turns her back.

"Niall... I just heard that it's going to be a prom about... a half year." Carly smiles and lays her hand over mine.

"Yeah?"

"I was thinking that we two could go.." She smiles and i shrug.

It's still a half year left.

"Maybe." I say and look at Brook again who's now holding a tray.

Carly catches my eye and furrows her eyebrows.

"You're looking at her again?" She snaps and starts to eat. I look at Brook again and i see her traveling to a table there Luke and his gang is sitting.

What a jerk.

Brooklyn's P.O.V ~

"I can't believe you're doing this.." Bella says and lays her hand over her forehead.

"What? It's just Luke?" I say and look at her. She leans back on her locker and closes her eyes.

"It's not just Luke.." She laughs and continues to close her eyes.

What? "What do you mean?"

"He's my ex, he's one of the best boyfriends i've ever had.." She opens her eyes and smiles. What? She's so... confusing.

"Why do you smile then?" I furrows my eyebrows.

"Because it's my fault we broke up." She sighs before she continues. "I was always up to him, i was telling him things that he should do to me, and when he did those things i didn't care."

"Then what's wrong that Luke and i are kind of.. dating?" I ask.

"I.." Her smile disappears and she looks around in the empty hall."I never said it was nothing wrong with that but... anyway-"

Before she can continues her eyes follows behind me, i gave her a confused look and turned around. When i turn around i see Niall and Carly holding hands. What's going on?

When Niall sees me his smile disappears and then he whispers something to Carly. Her smile disappeares too when she sees me. She nods and stopped walking, Niall continues to walk but towards us.

"Hey." He says and puts his hand into his pockets. "What's up?"

What's up? Is that the only thing he's saying? What the heck Niall.

"Nothing." Bella answers and sighs.

"Okay.." He sighs and is eyes travels to mine.

I look down at the floor to break our eye contact.

"Well... i have to go now.." He informs us. I bite my lip and look up at him again. Before i could say goodbye he's already walking away with Carly.

Hiiii sorry for not posting for a while school has been taking alot of time for me, but in about two days i have a spring break! So i can probably do an double update!
