Chapter Twenty One

"Niall, late again." Mrs Collins mutters while writing on her paper.

"I know, sorry." Niall says under his breath and sits down on his chair.

"You know Niall, if you get late on more time, you'll get detention." Mrs Collins says and looks at Niall.

Niall just shrugs and starts writing on his paper.

A piece of paper lands on my bench. I pick it up and sees a text.

"What's wrong with Niall? :( / Ashton"

I look over to Ashton, and i raise an eyebrow. He just waves and smiles.

"I dunno, probably still about the break up thing..." I write back.

I throw the paper back to Ashton. He picks it up and reads.

He just nods and continues to write.

Niall's P.O.V ~

I didn't know it would feel like this. I don't care about Carly anymore, i'm totally over her.

But my feelings for Brooklyn starts to grow. I don't know why... i'm her bestfriend? And she got Luke..

" Is everything alright mate?  / Michael "

"Yeah, just thinking.." I text back.

She's my best friend, i should stop being a coward and start talking to her. It feels like i'm lost, i don't know what to do.

"You can come over to my house, the other boys will come" He texts back.

"Are you sure?"  I text him.

"No, my mom said you couldn't come because she doesn't like you..

wtf niall of course i'm sure lol"

I laugh at his attitude.

"Fine i'll be there in a minute :p"

When i arrive there to Michael's house i say goodbye to Greg who gave me the ride.

I knock on his door and wait for someone to open it.

"Come in!"  I hear Michael's voice.

"Hey.." I say and walks in, closes the door behind me.

"Hey Niall!" They all say, i look around and sees Brooklyn sitting next to Luke.

My stomach drops when i see them holding hands. He didn't say she would come here.

They were all sitting on the couch except for Michael who sat next to the christmas tree.

"Seriously? A christmas tree already?" I raise and eyebrow and sit next to Michael.

"Um.. yes it's soon christmas and my mom decorated the tree and i think it's god damn nice." Michael said in a typical teenage girl voice.

I laughed and looked at Michael. He was dead serious too.

"Oh.." i said awkwardly and looked away. Michael just laughed at my reaction.

I looked at Brooklyn and she looked at Luke. I can't describe the look in her eyes, i can see it's full of love. She really loves him. Her brown eyes locked with his.. They looked at each other and smiled. He kissed her on her cheek and she giggled. I just sighed. Luke turned to Calum and Brooklyn caught me staring at her.

I quickly looked away and started to feel my hands getting sweaty. I was nervous, for nothing.

"Soo.. christmas soon aye?" Ashton asked

"Yeah.. i don't know what to get my family.." Calum shrugged.

"Me too." I said.

"I'm gonna get Kermit The Frog socks for Luke!" Ashton said.

"Ha-ha.." Luke rolled his eyes. "I don't even like Kermit The frog.."

"Fine, i'll get you Mickey Mouse shoes for you then.." Ashton giggled.

"Hey.. it's almost a new year.. these years goes so fast.." Michael said.

"Yeah.. i agree." Calum nodded. "I got bad news by the way.."

Everybody turned their heads to Calum.

"What is it?" Luke asked.

"We're moving back to Australia, me and my family." Calum said, his eyes starting to get glossy.

"W-why?" Ashton asked.

"Because my mother wants to be near our family.. i miss them, We miss them." Calum muttered and looked down at his lap.

"Cal.." Luke said. "My parents has said the same thing, they miss our family and my mother hasn't find a good job.. but we still have money for tickets to go back to Australia.."

"W-what? You're moving too?" Brook asked looking at Luke.

Luke swallowed and cleared his throat before speaking. "I don't know yet actually, i hope not.."

"We can't have two bandmembers on the other side of earth.." Michael sighed.

"Come with us then." Calum suggests.

"I don't know.. i'll talk with my parents when they come home.. i can't let you go because you guys are my two bandmates, my two bestfriends!" Ashton said.

"Niall.. what do you think?" Michael asked.

"I don't know.. do what you guys want. It is your band, together. You need to stick up together." I explained.

Brooklyn looked at me and nodded a little bit, i gave her a sad smile but she turned away. She looked at Luke and kissed him on his cheek. She ignored me..

Ouch.
