Harry slowly got out of bed and walked down the stairs, he yawned as he saw a familiar rat being chased by a large ginger cat. He smiled and carried on walking down the stairs, he went to get a glass of water when he heard a familiar voice,

"HARRY! Harry!" Hermione ran at him and gave him one her bone crushing hugs, she didn't go. Ron was smiling and Ginny looked at Harry weirdly as if he was doing something wrong, Harry felt a blush coming to his face. He couldn't let go, but he could slowly feel that the eyes of the world were upon him. He looked at Ron who was grinning a little as Harry slowly patted Hermione's back, Ron then saw Harry's face

"Uh Hermione," Ron said

"What?" she said still latched onto Harry

"Can we say hello to Harry?" Ron said smiling slightly as Hermione went bright red and started to pull away

"Oh," Hermione let go of Harry blushing, "Of course," she began to look at her feet, "I'm just going to well," Hermione went back upstairs blushing. She came back down with a blush on her face, and a book and sat down next to Ginny who still had a formidable look on her face.

"We looked everywhere, first here then the Flourish and Blotts, and Madam Malkins and-" Ron began

"I got all my school stuff last week," Harry said as Hermione head sunk lower into her book "how'd you know I was staying at the Leaky Cauldron Harry asked as Hermione and Ginny were both looking at him

"Dad," Ron said. It did make sense, Harry had just blown up his aunt, and the Ministry would have been informed. A look of guilt crept upon Harry's face he remembered how Aunt Marge had swelled up and the flown out the window.

"Did you really blow up your aunt, Harry?" Hermione asked still blushing and moving her feet she said it in a serious tone

"I didn't mean to-" Harry looked at Ron who was roaring with laughter, "I just- lost control," Harry said as Ron laughed harder

"It's not funny Ron, Harry could have been expelled," Hermione snapped "I'm serious!"Hermione snapped again looking at Ron then blushing when she looked at Harry and took her book again

"I surprised I wasn't expelled," Harry said looking down, "forget expelled, I was surprised I wasn't arrested," he looked at Ron "Why did Fudge let me off? Does your dad know why, you know because he's in the Ministry,"

Ron shrugged "probably cause it's you," Ron said as Harry face changed from guilt to anger quickly "I hate to see what the Ministry do if that was me, they'd had to dig me up first because my mom would have killed me. Anyway, you can ask dad yourself this evening. We're staying at the Leaky Cauldron too!"

"I'm staying as well, my mum and dad dropped me off with my Hogwarts things yesterday," Hermione revealed three bulging bags filled with books.

"What are all those for?" Harry asked pointing at the bags

"Well I'm taking lots more classes, and those are my books for them," Hermione said at which Ron started squawking with laughter and Harry just looked as Hermione face reddened with anger. "Anyway," Hermione said glaring at Ron "I've got ten galleons left to buy an early birthday present, I really want an owl, I mean you've got Hedwig, and Ron's got Errol-"

"Errol's a family owl, I have Scabbers," Ron said taking out a weedy looking rat. Hermione stood up and walked down Diagon Alley, and Harry followed, Ron was looking at Scabbers, while Ginny face had got worse, she was now looked like she wanted to murder someone.

"What's wrong with Ginny?" Harry whispered to Hermione as he almost shrunk looking at Ginny again as she gave him a horrid look again.

"I don't know she's been like that since I arrived, and we've not spoken once," Hermione said looking back at Ginny who faces hadn't changed since.
